Max Veteran Posted January 16, 2005 Veteran Share Posted January 16, 2005 I recorded a tribute band last night, and needless to say, the gig was loud and caused the recording to have a rasping sound (was only a tiny mic). However, if the ripping sound was nonexistant then the bootleg wouldn't actually sound that bad. How would I be able to get rid of this sound? I have the latest version of GoldWave. The original format is WAV, but here is a sample in MP3 of what I'm talking about. http://www.maxpayne.co.uk/sample.mp3 Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I would suggest cutting the audio, and getting a clean version of the song the band was playing...add some room reverb effects, a crowd, putting some crazy effects over it, and call it a video. er...wait...was that a video or just a recording?...if just a recording..i believe you are unfortunatly out of luck. sean l
Yeah, the audio is pretty much done for. For future reference, a sock or a cloth over your mic might lessen that effect,
