If you think about it it's quite easy to figure out how it's pronouced (or should be).

Think about 'software, freeware, shareware';

they are all pronounced 'Soft - Ware', 'Free - Ware' etc...

and 'Ware' sounds like Wear

Warez evolved from Ware (the end of those words)...

as usual the l337 internet gurus shoved a 'Z' at the end (instead of an S) to make it sound l337.

Hence the word 'Warez'

Thus concluding that Warez is pronounced "Wears"

I call it wars

before I knew that warez was softwares

when I saw irc chat rooms with the names warez I though it was where people hung out and had little internet wars sitting in chat rooms nukeing each other :s

I didn't go near those since I didn't want to get nuked

but now I know :D

I truly wonder where you guys get this "Soft*warez*" stuff from. Is there some sort of documentation or somthing?

Dispite how its pronounced, you guys are just pulling this out of your ___. As far as im concerned there is no correct way to say it. If you wanna be truly correct then use that wierd dictionary definition.. "weirz"
