being spiteful gets you no where, but so be it.

Thanks for the sig Bang you rock. Yankees in 05! hell 06 and 07 for that matter also!

as for the topic. whats the big deal? sigs are a way of people expressing themself. Now I wouldnt put an annoying sig up but everyone has dif tastes.

Let's settle down now. The sig guidelines are there for YOUR benefit. No one wants a massively gaudy sig distracting from the content of the site. Don't like it? I have some forums for you where you can pretty much put up whatever size sig you want. Go post there.

Just as clear as the sig rules are, the appropriate action for reporting someone is to use the reporting system. Why is this so hard to understand?

Excuse me? Mass blob of colours?

Ive just got Adobe Photoshop CS2 and went through some Tutorials about this effect.

I can do them in about 35 seconds from scratch now. I'm pretty good at it now, I find your comment a little harsh considering I spent time on it. Just because you can't see it for whats it worth does not mean others can not.

I think we can all see what it is.

Isn't there a way to limit the size of sigs? like some sort of fixed cell that the sig go's in, so that it will look cropped if it's to long or wide. Also limit the file size like you do when we try to post pics in a thread.

Then most of these problems will be solved.

Width: 380 pixels (okay)

Height: 120 pixels (okay)

Filesize: 70KB (NOT okay)

I apologize but that sig is just to big, you're a cool guy and all but be careful you've been warned numorous times someone might ban you, I hate to see that happen to a person like you.

585997696[/snapback]

I don't care if i'm banned. I've just about had it with this place these days with the half-ass Moderation. Im sure you guys in real life are great guys, but on the forum... your actions and comments leave a lot to desired.. The last year - 6 months tis site in my opinion it has gone down hill. Plenty of other places to post :)

bunch of freaken tattle tales on this board I swear.

I had to take out my subscriber badge cuz someone around here complained about MY TEXT SIG WAS TOO BIG!?

GEEZ :argh:

LoL. Thats the 'Rules' for you Steven, sad Eh?

I think we can all see what it is.

Jolly Good!

Whats funny is this:-

You can TURN OFF signatures, smiles and the rest of it. You WOULD do that if you was 56k and also use the lo-fi site, No?

I don't understand why you insist on barking about how crappy the moderating is, when in the same breath, you call out someone else on their sig being too large.

Bit hypocritical yourself? I realize the point you are trying to make, but you did it completely wrong. Chad noticed your sig. Not Steven's. Eventually, Steven's would have been noticed.

What drives me nuts is that some members think staff has nothing better to do with their time than 'pick on' certain members. Trust me. I'd like nothing better than not having to deal with members breaking the rules...it would certainly make our lives easier.

Bit hypocritical yourself?

Hmmm, If thats making a fuss as to why mine was removed and his wasnt in the same thread where he posted, then yes.

Would you question something and make a fuss if something happened to you, yet the person next to you went un-noticed?

Oh, the drama. It's a signature kids. :argh:

Can't we all just get along? :hug_guy: :hug_girl:

I've gone through everybody's signature that had 4-odd thousand posts and up and they are all now in complaince. Nobody is getting special treatment. Well, except the people with less than 4500 posts because I lost patience in the whole process by about that point.

His was removed as well.

Would I question it? Not if I was in the wrong. Would I make a fuss that someone else didn't get the same treatment? Not publically and make a spectacle of myself. The report post does a wonderful job of doing this without derailing a thread.

But I wasnt aware I was breaking the rules and thus in the wrong. Ive read the Signature guidlines, but it was recently changed.

When I checked it last, it just had that blue box saying 'Is your sig bigger then.....' etc.

I thought, aslong as your IMAGE was not bigger then that there would be no problem.

But as above, it was changed and now INCLUDES text.

So yes, I have no problem admitting I was wrong and breaking the rules about my signature, But, I did not know that, hence a PM would of been nice.

Sorry, you are wrong on that account. That text you are referring to has been there for a long time now.

I though, aslong as your IMAGE was not bigger then that there would be no problem.

The rules have not changed, they were clarified because some people misinterpreted them but they have not changed.

The text says "is your sig bigger than this?"

It does not say "is the image in your sig better than this?"

The original Official Avatar and Signature Guidelines thread from two years ago contains this image:

"Recently" changed? I haven't noticed any change in signature guidelines in at least past six months.

I think it's just that moderators decided to be more strict about it from now on.

For example, here's what Armeck said about four months ago, that the sig size should be kept no matter what you have on the sig.

edit/ too late I guess... -o-;;

The last one I read before this was this one:-

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=25368&s=

It just says Signature.

Which, was a little vagued.

The one is this post says Including Text

Look up to my last post. Nothing has changed.

This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. This release fixes a Windows security issue that could allow arbitrary file deletion during privileged cleaning (reported by Zeze with TeamT5). It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Added cleaners for Visual Studio Code, Codeium, Librewolf (.deb), Transmission (Flatpak), and Profanity. Improved Linux trash detection, including Snap-installed applications and mounted drives. Fixed Wayland root CLI issues and several Snap-related problems. Improved package dependencies, AppStream metadata, and desktop file handling. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
