I just noticed someone with a sig that is an animated gif of 1.4mb in size.

What is the correct proceedure to report this? Or should it not even be reported?

i would report it. 1,4mb would take around 5 minutes of loading time on my dialup.

I also see quite often members using their sigs for ad space for their personal business, especially hosting companies.

There was a notice/warning issued about that a while ago, but maybe people have forgotten since then. (plus new people)

As far as that goes, simply report it, because as far as I can tell, its still against the rules.

Thank god...some of the sizes of sigs were starting to annoy me. I firmly believe that this rule should be STRONGLY enforced.

I agree, some of the sizes out there are extremely annoying and a huge waste of space and time to navigate down through the posts.

Click on their name to go into their profile, then copy and paste then PM a Super Mod (Green badges) or a Supervisor (Maroon badges) the link to their profile.

I don't know why the thread was brought back, but I'm glad it was. I can't speak for other Mods, but I won't notify anyone if their sig is too large anymore. It's getting quite old that people insist on putting these massive sigs up. If they don't have the courtesy to abide such a simple rule, I don't feel I need to notify them. I'll either remove the whole sig or edit it until it meets the criteria. If you continue to break the rule, you'll lose your sig privileges

I guess mine is too big then? :/ I think it is like 651x247

Delete your avatar and sig then!

Your sigs are too large. If you see them edited, you know why

I put

Sig Guidelines - Joel

in place of the offending portion of the sig (whether all or part of it).

Here's the code:

I need some type of keyboard macro system to save me some repetitive typing...

Edit: There are also buttons in IPB for those that don't dream in BB Code.

    • There really isn't anything magical about the low latency profile, other OS's do this as well. All they're doing is using your CPUs boost clock options in a more smarter way.
    • So we shouldn't have the option because of people using their laptops on battery? OK? LOL
    • If you hear that fans for a limited time the CPU spikes to open a app I don't think the problem is with the software. There shouldn't be enough time spent at the higher clocks to produce enough heat to peak the fans. Maybe it's time to crack those dell laptops open and clean them out?
