Hardi
I have installed the same theme as you have, but how is it that you have the Ubuntu symbol in your gnome bar? Mine is still the "foot". http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=46079#post46079 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/291147-gnulinux-march-desktops/page/3/#findComment-585558454 Share on other sites
Aaron Veteran Posted March 2, 2005 Veteran Share Posted March 2, 2005 Ubuntu will have provided its own default gnome menu image. I know its possible to change it for another one, I once made a GTK2 theme which changed the main menu icon, but it was so long ago (back in the heady days og GTK+2.2) I have forgotten how...Depends on what type of theme you're modifying. Metacity themes and GTK2 themes and Openbox themes and KDE themes etc etc are all kept in different places, and follow different rules. Most of them consist of text files (optionally defining images and image paths) which you can simply open in a text editor and hack. Gnome themes (metacity and gtk2) are often found in /usr/share/themes/<themename>, have a browse through a theme directory, I'm sure you'll pick up on how the themes work easily enough. 585558438 Ok, I'll have a poke around when I get /home. I have installed the same theme as you have, but how is it that you have the Ubuntu symbol in your gnome bar? Mine is still the "foot". http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=46079#post46079 585558454 Thanks, I'll give it a shot later. blik
wallpaper?? 585577540 ditto, Thats a nice wallpaper chavo. Could someone please give me a hand with taking a screenshot in Enlightenemnt, I was allways a hard gnome advocate, but I love E now. Using the gimp to take the timed shot, gives very blurred pictures :s Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/291147-gnulinux-march-desktops/page/3/#findComment-585577565 Share on other sites
chavo
The wallpaper is by hermik. Here's his page at customize.org, so you can check out his wallpapers. He's got some real nice ones in the same style. http://www.customize.org/list/user/hermik Edit... Blikem, if you've got Image Magick installed you can just do a "import -window root screen_shot.jpg" To do a timed screen shot, just run "sleep 5; import -window root ss.jpg". You can of course change the picture name and type, for example "import -window root ss.png".
