None -

I'm sick and tired of the sodding things !!!

Zone Alarm won't let the Auto-Redial feature of XP work

NIS will let it Auto-Redial, but the connection just won't do anything,

BlackICE had that scare a little while ago, spyware or something ? I can't remember now...

But I'll try them others in that list, see if I get any joy with them !

Thanks,

Ferret !

Kerio's flawless, had no problems accessing computers on the LAN, and no internet sharing troubles either. ZoneAlarm is getting bloated IMO, with the new crappy GUI in version 3, and making it more of a hassle to reach the advanced features. It didn't work comfortably with internet sharing either.

I'm using kerio personal firewall i was able to make the best rules ,but i wasn't able to make other computers connect throw my internet i have a hub 3 com hub which connects to this computer and the internet connects to this computer also (hub connected to the network card) the computers on the network couldn't brows the internet usig IE my Os is Win2k SP4 and my laptop which is connected to the router OS=XP ... u have any idea how to make it possible to brows the net using IE from the laptop "Msn messenger logged =there is internet in the laptop "

Installed a firewall once, was so incredibly annoying, I removed it the next day. Never used a firewall since and never had any probem whatsoever

Yeah but you have no clue who's spying on you and what's going on in your computer. On my rig, ZA reports an access attempt about every 3-10 minutes! Your nuts if you don't have some kind of firewall!

I use ZoneAlarm Pro with Web Filtering. Very nice. Blocks popups and ads. I have 1,032 IP address ranges blocked, for a total of 69,993,971 blocked IP addresses. With all of that, ZA never uses much more than 3% of the CPU power (on my 1.91GHz) and only consumes 4,776KB of memory--not bad at all. A great firewall, which I'd recommend to anyone.
