well, the contact list is my clist file i uploaded in my previous reply.

the skin for ieview is smooth operator by me (made my own background). you can find it posted in this forum as well as miranda-im.org

Been testing out Miranda.

Its a bit lagged.

For the IE-View, is there no other way to automatically get my avatar?

Needing to copy it into every template folder is a chore and feels like 'cheating'.

I hate it that the sign-in is hidden inside the options.

I use the MSN Account Setup plugin but it only shows on start and if I click Cancel, when I want to sign-in I need to dig into the options.

I've yet to find the toaster plugin and the replacement to internal speakers beep on event. (Trying to get the avatars automatically)

My current setting:

here's what i got so far.

thanks to liquidGUI.

On the first page of this forum Pompey posted his miranda.  I was wondering which Icon Set he was using.  and also if I can get the msn smilies for miranda

I just used one gant 3 icon for online msn, one for offline msn. Same for aim. Nothing cool :(

Its funny, i tried to customize miranda to get my list like adium with bubbles and stuff. It just happened to fail and become completely transparent, and i think i like it better anyway =p

Also, release new ieview templates, you good ieview template creators. New and nice, like pastel or big icons ~

Modding Miranda is quite difficult ;)

I managed to make the message window look nice, but I have no idea as to what to do with the contact list.

I want it to match the IE View template theme (which I really like) so I wanna do something with the contact list. I have a few questions:

- when I import someone clist (users have been posting them on this thread), all I get is nothing most of the time: my contact list just goes grey.

- How do I make the group title (ex friends, family, and so on) be in the center and have a solid/gradeint background colour?

- How can I get rid of the + and - before groups?

- In the message window, how can I get rid of the menu and window (so all I have left is the message chat area)?

Sorry for a lot of questions but I wanna make it work.. please help if you have sorted out any of the above. thanks :(

@galoosh33:

- try importing other clists and see if the problem persists

- go to list background+ and check "center group names...", or just put space before the names

- for the expand/collapse icon, just replace it with a blank icon

- right click your title bar in the chat window and go to container options. under "layout options", check those you want to hide.

Eliazu: I found this one:

Works for most known templates... I haven't used it yet but I think I will download it now.

Leetl, thanks for your help :) the main problem though, the one with importing other people's clists persists no matter which one is loaded. That's really annoying :(

I can't even find how to change like other group's names parameters...

    • "...a low price of just $340..." I don't think it means what you think it means.

    • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
