some quick questions about a few pesky things in miranda.

1. whenever i click on my contactlist through the tray icon itll pop up...but then if i click on a convorsation window the contact list window will automatically hide...how can i get rid of this.

2. Is there any way to configure miranda so that when somenoe ims you and you're not in miranda ( example : surfing the internet ) , can the message pop up as a window not be hidden until you click the contact on the clist...what happenes to me is the tray icon flashes that a messsage has been sent to me and i have to click on the person the message is from to get it...it's very annoying considering i am used to messages poping up easily.

3. I've heard there is a weather plugin for miranda...could someone link me to the best one and is there a readme on how to configure it?

Edit:::

one more thing...

4. is there any way to hide the "+" or "-" buttons to the left of the group name to toggle hiding that group on or off....they are useless for me.

Thanks,

bsommer

@Daeron Tin?viel: under the Customize Section in the options dialog is a subsection called skins:))

@bsommer: at row items > icons you can deactivate the + and - icons.

Question number one and two can also be found in the dialog windows, where I dont accatly know.

As for the weahter plugin, just search through the addons site for Miranda-IM, I'm sure you can find a good one there;))

2. Message Session > Message window > tabs and layout

Under Message tab and window creation options, check automatically pop up window/tab......

3. http://addons.miranda-im.org/details.php?a...ile&id=2322 that is the dll. You then have to go here

http://addons.miranda-im.org/index.php?act...splay&id=78 for the ini file.

So you would take weather.dll and place it in plugin folder. And within that plugin folder you create a folder name weather and place the ini file that you download into that folder.

As far as i know the newest weather.dll was release today, so you would have to download a ini file that is updated.

a few more thigns

1. I got the weather to work for my city but it is in celcuis...how can i get it to farenheit ?

2. Disabling hiding the clist didnt work...ill explain what happens again. Miranda is minmized and i am on the internet. I click on the miranda tray icon and the buddy list appears fine, but then if i click a persons name on the buddy list a conversation window will pop up with that person and the buddy list will hide / minimize. Its very annoying!

3. Also, how can i join multiple irc channels automatically?

4. one more thing, is there any way to remove the status bar from being visible for good? It shows up every time i restart miranda even when i disable it :(

I just have a quick question for all you Miranda guys out there. I'm using the Scriver plug in by the way, instead of Tabsrmm, and I'm not willing to change, as I find Scriver a hell of a lot easier to deal with. Anyway, I just want to know how to configure miranda so that when somebody IMs me, instead of me having to click on the contact list to bring up their chat window, how would I get the chat window to pop-up by default?

My miranda version is 0.4 and i just downloaded the plugin from Miranda's webby.. Modern Contact List Layered 0.4.2.8.. there was a zip files like "A" and "U" i tried both but nope :( Does those Clist Moderns even support like the clist Modern Clear and Samui etc? :o

I just installed the tabSRMM plugin and it works PERFECTLY minus the fact that it overrides the Miranda program setting to send messages on ENTER. tabSRMM is making me use CTRL-ENTER to send messages. I have looked through the preferences for tabSRMM and can not find how to change this!

Can some one please help me?

Option > Message Session > Message Window > General

Navigate to sending message, Check "Send message on Enter"

Hope it works!!

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
