Yeah, so I got ieview and i loaded a template but nothings changed.

I tried a couple templates using the latest stable ieview. The latest unstable doesn't even have a templates tab.

Have you selected IE view as your default log?

Go to Options->Message Sessions->Message Windo

Click on Message Log tab then under Support for external plugins check Use IEView as default message log

The only thing under the Message Sessions is IEView. No Message Window...

Did I miss a plugin or something?

Three questions..

1) Miranda won't show my display pic i choose for msn(like my contacts cant see it). how can i fix that.

2) How can i get it to show popups when someone signs in, off, and msgs me?

3) How can i make the convo window pop up right away instead of clicking the blinking tray icon?

msn group chat on miranda does not work for me. when the two people speak the text is fine, but the third person has there name in <>

eg: " peter: <james> hi" when james tries to say hi in a conversation with me and peter. is there any way just to have it appear normal like "james: hi"

thanks in advance if anyone can help

thanks russellc

i updated all my plugins that could possibly cause the problem (msn protocol, ieview, tabsrmm) and the miranda proram itself but still have the same problem. is anyone else having this problem. if its just me ill start putting together miranda from scratch, if its a widespread problem ill just accept it

How do you get the Status of each contact under their names? Like the name of the contact and under it is their status.

Options->Contact List->Row Items->Second Line (or Third Line)

Tick the "Show Second" line box and select what you want to appear in the Second Line.

You may need to fiddle around with row heights if it doesn't appear at first.

Thanks for the tip!

I think I am going to have to give up on miranda yet again. Every time I shut down my system, something in my .dat corrupts somehow, and the clist modern skin does not load properly. If I remove my dat and recreate, I can then apply the skin again, but I am not going to spend my time recreating my entire profile every single day. At this point, I do not know what is causing this. I love the flexibility of this program, but ffs, it corrupts itself randomly on a regular basis. This isnt the first time I've have problems. I've tried disabling everything, running another person's profile, and it just screws itself up every time :(

It just doesnt draw the list at all. I have a cream-colored box (the color of my classic .3dc scheme) instead of a list. Something is getting corrupted upon shutdown, because, when I start up, I get this instead of a proper list. If I blow away my profile and rebuild, its there, even though closing and restarting miranda. When the OS is shut down and it kills the program however, something is getting corrupted.

I didn't have to do that before I upgraded my clist modern plugin. If I switch to clist nicer, I do not have this problem. The list shows up intact regardless of how the program was terminated, either by myself or the OS. Something in the most recent version of clist modern cannot tolerate being shut down by the OS without corrupting my profile so that the list does not draw at all upon restart of the OS. And since people who doubtless have all the same versions of dlls I do, it's damnable flakeyness that drives me nuts about this program. Why do people with the exact same program configuration have problems others dont, dont suffer from the problems others have, or have a unfunctional program when others dont? It should be the same, and it isn't. I do not know why this is happening, and I am so tired of having miranda crap on itself randomly.

I do not know what is corrupted in my profile, and I do not want to have to rebuild it again(I could not get IEview working again except with my original profile anyhow).

    • New Outlook for Windows and Web is getting a simple but very useful email feature by Sayan Sen Recently Microsoft put up a blog post highlighting not one, not two, but 15 total reasons why it feels you should switch to New Outlook already. If that was not enough, the company is bringing another new feature soon that could finally compel you to switch over to the new app. According to a recent update on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, the tech giant is making changes to how message sorting works when users choose criteria besides the traditional options of From, Subject, or Date Received. The idea is to provide better options for the attribute being used for sorting and make it easier to understand why messages appear in a particular order. For those unfamiliar Outlook already allows users to sort emails using a variety of fields including sender, category, importance, subject, and message size. Users can access these options through the Filter menu in Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. With the upcoming change, whenever users sort by a field other than From, Subject, or Date Received, Outlook will automatically display an additional column showing the value being used for the sort. For example, if messages are sorted by Size, a Size column will appear in the message list, allowing users to immediately see the data that determines the ordering of emails. Microsoft believes this should make sorting behavior simpler and reduce the need to manually adjust views or inspect individual messages. Support for sorting by Flag Due Date is also coming and should be especially be helpful for users who rely on email flags to manage follow-up tasks and deadlines. The feature is listed under Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 564803 and is expected to reach general availability beginning later this month itself (June 2026). You can find the entry here. As always though, users should keep in mind that roadmap timelines can change and rollout schedules may occasionally be adjusted by Microsoft. Outlook for Web is also set to receive this feature.
    • That is true. but the liability side of my balance sheet is clean and has been for decades.  Nobody comes a knocking,  calling or writing harassing me for the money i owe them.😎👍  Haven't dealt with "a money changer" in decades and like Jesus it was in Jerusalem.  Don't have much money, but have even less stress in my life.👍👍     P.S.  Sorry, can't walk on water or change it to wine,
    • Maybe ? DLSS Swapper (can swap the DLSS/FSR/XeSS versions) as long as the game (typically online/competitive) doesn't checks for file tampering. You can try different version(s) or update if not the current version of the FSR. https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper
