I am so glad this thread exists. A few hours ago Neowin was fine. I logged back in 10 minutes ago and everything was ****ed. Of course, in outline view it took me 10 minutes to find a relevant post that actually had a solution on how to fix it, but at least it saved me the time of starting a new thread asking WTF is going on and waiting patiently for a reply.

If your topic view look funny than you have to make it serious by doing some certain steps in it.It happens with me as well in which i change my topics and all things same as you are saying to me.

I'm pretty sure this topic is obsolete now as our latest skins do not have a button that can royally mess up your view settings. It can still be changed but you have to wander into the control panel and change the view from Standard/Linear+ to Outline. Presumably if you can figure out how to do that then you can figure out how to undo that as well.

Personally, I think this is a massive improvement as far too many people used to be only one errant click away from being totally confused. Even worse was that Google often fed people the Outline View version of a thread instead of the standard view.

Since I think this problem is now solved, I'm going to unpin this thread.
