Loving this theme since v1. Any chance of an Alt. Start Menu for Royal?

Yes indeed...as the subtleness of the Alt Start Button (especially with the Compact Menu Style) is very elegant.

Just a thought for I'm sure that you are quite tired of updates, but some of your colleagues who also do beautiful, clean work like Franco (KoL) & Lennard (D'Blade) sometimes add a Extra file (with various Start Buttons to choose from)

Anyways thanks for the Royale style...

:)

You people don't understand how hard this theme would be to update if I applied all your ideas, and the file size would probably be around 100mb. I think this is the only theme where there are as much as 6 styles to choose from.

If I were to make the compact taskbar bigger how much bigger do you guys want it. The Default taskbar size has +4 padding, Compact has +0 padding. I don't think you want more then +2 though.

That sounds about right. Maybe contact Kol and see what he used for sustenance? I would love to use the thin, but it's just a little tooooo thin for me.

This theme is cool and im using it whatever but for me the compact taskbar is a little too thin so im just using the default sized one. The update with royale was good though. I think this theme will be my default for a long time unless you are planning on releasing anything else (Y)

So maybe a "mid-size" version is exactly what you're looking for! :)

Its not the only theme with as much as 6...not by any stretch. Lots of themes have more than 6...

(N) Not keen on the compact taskbar getting bigger...it wouldn't be compact. Your choice though - your theme.

I wouldn't want it much bigger either...but I'd be interested to see what the little extra padding would look like.

em3, maybe you or someone else could make a mockup of it, just to see what it would look like?

Why don't you just try another theme with the extra padding, like Sustenance.

Now there's an idea.

IMO, Compact wouldn't be compact if it were bigger. You'd have to call it "Sorta Compact".

I think the problem is that too many peeps today use screens that belong in movie theaters, and things look too small on them. Compact looks great on all my screens, 15, 17, and 19 inch. Anything bigger than a 19 should be used for TV in my opinion, not a computer.

em, the majority appear to be really pleased with what you have created. I wouldn't rack my brain trying to please every last person. That is impossible with anything, and you will drive yourself nuts trying to do it..

I'm addicted to Element. Looks like I'm not the only one..

Because Element is the best VS we've ever seen

Absolutely not... I used to switch from theme to theme until I found Luna Element, that is now my desktop of choice :

that seems to happen with most people :)

btw, 35 pages of replies in 12 days seems very good, isn't it? :)

em3: Great job on the skin. I was personally happy with 2.0 original and I find that all this extra stuff you added is just "Whipped Cream Design". In other words, it's not needed for me personally but I'm happy that it's in there.

I'm sticking to Alt. Start Button full sized because I find that it best matched my personal style.

Thank you again for this piece of art.

    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
    • I disagree; they come off very "bitchy" and "whiny". Make a great product and combine that with a great price (free) and people will come over to your side. Or build it and they will come as they say. Constantly trying to get attention by complaining all the time, will turn people off to your product.
    • It use to be a nightmare, with LibreOffice supporting a newer draft ODF standard by default, and Microsoft Office supporting the older non-draft standard. Now that they both support the same version of ODF, they should be interoperable.

With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. • Hi. As the title suggests, I can't access the forum on my phone. I'm using Edge on Android and when I try to navigate to the forum I get a "we value your privacy" popup and none of the buttons are clickable. It effectively stonewalls me from reading any forum content.
