....
Trust us, we are more aware of this stuff than you think. :) We won't just upgrade for the sake of upgrading...we have to test it out first. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/316384-is-neowin-going-to-upgrade-to-ipb-204/#findComment-585871524 Share on other sites
BoundToEarth
It is better to do that, I mean test it out first like BOOGSoftball said. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/316384-is-neowin-going-to-upgrade-to-ipb-204/#findComment-585871548 Share on other sites
Anthony T.
It is also good to stay updated with the current standard, due to the risk of being taken by a security vulnarbility. I could understand not updating if it is all visual things that most likely will be replaced by the skins and modifications with Neowin. Tomi
All it is, is the security fixes from the past while, nothing much really. And Neowin is most likely well informed of IPB releases. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/316384-is-neowin-going-to-upgrade-to-ipb-204/#findComment-585874646 Share on other sites

Eli
Isn't Neowin one of the biggest Invision Boards out there? They should be given a free licence just for promoting it's use. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/316384-is-neowin-going-to-upgrade-to-ipb-204/#findComment-585874719 Share on other sites

Anthony T.
Not really, that is not a good business technique. It would be a good PR technique though... Bhav
Isn't Neowin one of the biggest Invision Boards out there? 585874719[/snapback] yes it is. no doubt. (except the *cough*SNF*cough* board - but that's piracy so wouldn't be included). Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted May 6, 2005 Global Moderator Share Posted May 6, 2005 security updates? i think neowin is a bit smarter then to upgrade when a new version comes out. they probably already have all the security updates :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/316384-is-neowin-going-to-upgrade-to-ipb-204/#findComment-585882752 Share on other sites
