Oh damn that would be hilarious. Nintendo could be pulling a fast one on us all and that damn console they showed us is not even the Revolution. Remember the second picture with the GameCube ports for the controllers in the sides? They could be showing us a prototype for an old GameCube. Oh man this would be freaking rich if they weren't even showing us the Revolution yet. And that video which was leaked is the real Nintendo system. This would be the greatest hoax ever, do you know how much hype that would create if out of nowhere they pulled out a new console.

I was watching the E3 conference again and it is really strange that Reggie keeps mentioning "Use your Left Brain" and "Use your Right Brain" in his speech. Like the left and right brains in that leaked video. Something is very fishy.

Great find [X]-bYte!

Yea, same here.. there must be something to it... Mabye we are over analysing :p

ok so let me get this straight, if anyone says anything remotley negative about the big N they are either a "puppet" or a sony ms fanboy? please dont make me laugh, how is your labeling and pointing that out any worse than you being a nintendo fanboy? On top of that everyone is entitled to their own opinions.?

Maybe there is another reason there are more than 360 posts in this thread, maybe were all concerned that nintendo showed next to nothing! Maybe the sony and ms threads are smaller because not half the people there are posting again and again about speculation and dissapointment.? Dont get me wrong, i love nintendo, but that doesnt mean im not going to criticisize them! They are far from a perfect company.

585938135

You say nintendo showed nothing, yet you critcize them. Now I ask you, for what? XBOX 360 obviously more outspoken because its coming out THIS YEAR. If you were nintendo, would you reveal anything about your console when its not even ready and dated to come out a year after? I in no way condone criticism, but criticism is due when it is deserving.

Little bits of revolution mystery in these present months was more than satisfying to me. I and every NEWS reporter, analyst and educated reader knew months prior to E3, that revolution will not be the spotlight of this E3, rather DS wifi. Even nintendo said it many times.

But that would be the greatest media stunt of them all and generate the most attention. Remember Itawa kept saying stuff that the Revolution is a puzzle that needs to be unlocked. What if Nintendo is doing their own version of "I Love Bees". Look at their website, the NintendoNow website doesn't even know why they are mentioned at the top of the page.

Don't take everything I said so literally. I'm just saying, so far the pretty much since the joystick/3d content on the n64 and the dreamcast just improving upon it, there has been nothing to get excited about in the console world. Improving graphics, improving graphics. It's simply an ideal of mine. And ya, Nintendo has dissapointed me several times before... Funny thing is, MS and sony has never dissapointed me, because they always release pretty much what I expect on the hardware end, until they surprise me, they will remain the companies that are just following everyone else and then marketting it better.

Infact, my favorite brand was always sega, like, you think Mario could even lay a hit on sonic??? lol :p And I've never been a big fan of the portable scene... I did have a gamegear, but there were very good reasons for it which I care not to get into here :)

Aside from all that, it's the simple fact that, if you think just a design change in a controller is gonna be what's revolutionary, your totally under-estimating Nintendo. There is NO WAY that any controller they give you will be revolutionary. Remember the Nintendo Power glove??? It's all been done already, they are creating a completely different peripheral. Now it may not for sure be a vr headset like I've so been proclaiming, but whatever it is, it isn't a just a new controller. The reason they haven't revealed the controller, is because they want to keep you guessing, if they released a controller and then said, there's another device that'll make this revolutionary. Everyone here would be taking my word for fact (which shouldn't be the case: debate it; look for flaw; this would give you a much more educated opinion) but instead, they keep it mysterious... Infact, I think from looking at sony's specs, they must have some spies inside nintendo, because I believe their console is capable of this as well. Dual screen output is used for 1 thing, to give you a 3d perspective. But once again, ALAS, I'm speculating.

So I'm now leaving this thread mainly because I've argued my point as far as I think I can argue it, and I doubt it's good for my health to be checking this thread after every reply... so I'm gonna take a break from neowin for awhile. Laters, peace out.

And you VR fanboys should just let it go. NINTENDO WILL NOT RELEASE A VR KIT OR 3D STEREOSCOPIC GLASSESS. All that crap was uneducated rumors, anyone who really knows nintendo's business practices and ideaology would have automatically dismissed such rumors as bogus.

Aries is just a little boy who wants attention, nothing more.

The fact is that Nintendo is off the radar now because of it. By not showing Revolution with games, etc. when everyone else is, it gives the gaming world another reason to forget about Nintendo. In Gamespot there are like two articles about Revolution and Zelda, and that's it. Nintendo has done nothing different to attract new attention or to spark new interest, this whole "Revolution" thing is a joke. Making it only 2x more powerful than GCN? How stupid are they, honestly. Gameplay hasn't sold games for a long time. It's about shiny technology, things to impress your friends with.

While Nintendo will remain as a company, they only way they could remain competive console wise in the next console battle would be if they released Revolution with GoldenEye 2. That's obviously not going to happen, so things aren't looking good at all.

Alot of my speculation comes from people who actually have followed VR technology for the last 15-20 years and give me periodic updates. They have reasons to believe that Nintendo is adapting this technology. Which was explained to me, and has thoroughly convinced me.

Then you will be terribly dissapointed. Keep dreaming.

Gamespot loves X-box and PS... that's why...

Nobody knows how fast the Revolution will be stop spredding lies. Nintendo is trying something new for a change. Give them a chance.

Considering the price point AND age group Nintendo has always gone after VR doesn't seem logical.

What would you expect the difference in price to be for a family of four to buy a Gamecube, Super Smash Brothers Melee, and 3 extra controllers, Versus the price it would take for that same family to buy a Revolution, Super Smash Brothers, 3 controllers, And 3 VR headsets?

VR takes the social out of gaming and makes it a purely solo experience and I don't think that's where Nintendo or anyone else wants to take it. I don't know if you ever played that VR game that they have at some of those large gaming centers but they're fluff. Yes it's novel to look around at the flying Pteradactyl and shoot at it for 5 minutes but after awhile you start to think "gee where is everyone else"?

I have no doubt that Nintendo IS working on the technology, hell they probably have since Sega was during the Genesis days, however the time is not now.

Not every game would have to be VR, only a certain selection of games could be made VR.

585938286

Besides, how many games are single player? Zelda, RE4, all the best "experiences" are single player. Then say you took a party game or something and played a type of, "pass around the vr headset" Where the guy in the headset is vs the other 3 who have the tv? There are alot of possibilities here.

Which would be even worse. It'd be like Steel Battalion for the X-box. I'd hardly call that revolutionary, moreso a gimmick.

But it'd fit Metroid Perfectly though :)

Edit: I really don't think a Zelda or Resident Evil would fit a VR headset. At that point the headset becomes an expensive LCD screen stuck on your face.

If it moved how your head moved, it would be much more than that.

And you don't think it would fit the resident evil franchise??? I would shat myself if what looked like a life sized zombie came out nowhere and tried to put a hatchet into my back, and the only reason I caught it was because I kept glancing behind my back... that would be the freakiest experience ever, RE from a 1st person perspective.

In concept yes it would be the coolest ever, but VR gaming is intensive. Most people don't want to work up a sweat when they game they want to sit on thier coutch and vegg out. With a VR system only the most hardcore would really play for over 30 minutes at a time, even if it's just a head unit, and not something like that old Sega hexagon ring motion sensor thing.

It really is too much effort for the gamer to go through to play a game and it will be delegated to novelty status if it is released, just like DDR and Donkey Konga.

Think of it as the Light Gun for the NES or the Super Scope 6 for the SNES. Not every game made use of the Light Gun or Super Scope 6.

Yes and parents of small kids will once again sue nintendo for flashing lights, nausea, fatigue and heart attacks...

585938328

That is how I'm thinking about it and that's what turns me off. Everyone's gettiing all hyped up thinking of the myriad of games that will put them right into the action when if it were released it probably have 2-4 games max.

But please don't ever mention the super scope, why Nintendo thought I wanted to shoot baddys with a fake bazooka on my shoulder was beyond me, oh how I missed the old light gun in those days. I'm trying to forget that accessory.

Edit: If this were to be released it wouldn't be an integral part of revolution and hence warrants very little hype.

That would be sweet, just like the good old days.

I think they have those giant ass warnings now when you boot some Nintendo games. I think Paper Mario 2 even has one for some reason.

THE NEW REVOLUTION SYSTEM SHOWN WAS NOT THE NEW CONSOLE!!!

my theory since it has 4 gamecube controller ports and 2 memory card slots:

the box shown is only an updated gamecube!!!

the nintendo revolution is in fact a totally different system!!!

This is the latest rumors.

THE N-GAME: Nintendo is playing with us.

Note: the official tagline is just a joke. It's not official. Everything here is just speculation.

It's almost official now. Nintendo, IGN, Reggie, they're in on the complot.

Remember the Nintendo ON video?

Go and type this in your taskbar:

www.nintendoon.com

It might be a complot. We're learning more about Revolution this E3. This has GOT to be the best marketing trick E-V-E-R.

As poster Fezz points out, people are finding out that the domainname NINTENDOON.COM is registered by a certain Reginald F, that means Reggie.

So now we have:

-www.nintendoon.com linking to IGN

-strange videos on nintendo.com yesterday (Reggies eyes close up)

-Iwata and Reggie on conference talking about puzzles and right brain

-IGN being quiet with all this... do they know more?

-the Aries guy... a member of Nintendo? Reggie himself?

-NintendoON.com registered by Reggie...

    • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
