When clicking the x button (to exit) can you make it so that it brings a option whether or not you want to save the pages? 3. Are there any good plugins/extensions for Opera thatI should use? 4. What is the best way to customize Opera? 5. Does Gmail work fine in Opera? 6. Chlorpromazine
Opera doesnt need any extensions, its fine the way it is. 585946707 I second that :D What Firefox can do with a lot of extension and a base download much heavier than opera's one, Opera does without any external effort. However, there are some interisting work-arounds in http://nontroppo.org/wiki/Opera that may be useful.

STNG
2. When clicking the x button (to exit) can you make it so that it brings a option whether or not you want to save the pages? 1. You can choose "Start with no pages" on Opera's startup dialog. 2. You can close all pages fast before exit by pressing hotkey or mouse gesture. 3. You can set Startup option to "Start with no pages" 3. Are there any good plugins/extensions for Opera thatI should use? 4. What is the best way to customize Opera? FAQs, manuals, User-JS extensions, script addons, buttons, menus, search engines, customizable UI etc... 6. How do I make it so that ctrl + left/right for moving from tab to tab? Yes of course. You can set any keboard shortcut and any mouse gesture to any Opera's action. 8. Some sites don't load properly. Some sites only load hafl way. Some sites don't load the full picture and you can't see whats on the right? Howcome? Opera's Presto web-browser engine is great. But some non-standart sites working with Internet Explorer only. Use special extension for open sites with Internet Explorer engine inside Opera's window. Just click menu and choose "Open page with IE". You need special plugins/extension for this feature. ThePast
I went to my.opera.com but couldn't find any extensions for Opera. 585946662 What do you want to do, that you think you need extensions for? Chances are good that it can be done with Opera as it is out of the box, probably you just have not found out how to do it yet. :)
Crazysah
Like see: 1. Some sites don't work properly. In some Vbulliten sites when I reply the background is not white, I want it to be white. How do I do that? 2. I want it to automatically save the pages when I close the browser. 3. I would like to have it refresh all the pages when it opens. Thanks. I will think of more and post it later!
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted May 25, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted May 25, 2005 1. I have never seen this happen to me, could you post and example site and perhaps a screenshot? 2. Opera automatically saves sessions when you close the browser, you probably have the startup option wrong, you have to have the startup option set to continue from last time (IIRC it's the first thing you see when you open the preferences) 3.Opera uses the cache as much as it can, if you want to change it you hae to go into the preferences and click on the advanced tab then click on history (I think) and chanage the setting for document to always check. ThePast
1. See Alex's answer. 2. By default Opera is set to give you a start-up dialog giving you the options: a. Continue from last time. b. Continue with saved session (you can save a session at any time, File - Sessions) c. Start with homepage. d. Start with no page. I assume you have accidentally disabled this start-up dialog, to fix that go to Tools - Preferences - General and change the start-up setting to the preference you like (I recommend 'Show start-up dialog' 3. It do this when you continue from last time or from saved saved sessions. At least mine do and I don't think I've changed any settings to accomplish that. Do you need extensions to Firefox for this?
Crazysah
Thanks to both of you for helping me out. I still have one problem. @ alex: I went to history and changed it to always but no difference. Any other solution? BTW - Will post the screenshot in a few mins.
Crazysah
Attachement is here: Now why is the background brown?
megamanXplosion
The website specifically makes the background brown for the quick reply area. You can prevent sites from styling forms by going to... Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content -> Uncheck "Enable styling of forms"

ThePast
As I said before my Opera do this, so my suggestion here is a bit of guesswork. Tools - Preferences - Advanced - Browsing - Re use existing page. If you have re use existing page ticked (I don't) unticking it may help. If not I'll look into it later when I have time. :)
