Opera 8.0

Btw, how do you know that the refresh on start up don't work. To be sure you must be certain that the page has been changed while you were off-line and that it did not change between when you started Opera and when Opera or you refreshed the page. Note that Opera also can be set to refresh pages at different time intervals. Right click, "Reload Every" give you options to have it refresh between every 5 seconds to 30 minutes

Cause I had made a post in IE (on Neowin). I then opened up Opera and the thread came but my post did not. Thats how I knew that it wasn't getting refreshed.

As I said before my Opera do this, so my suggestion here is a bit of guesswork.

Tools - Preferences - Advanced - Browsing - Re use existing page.

If you have re use existing page ticked (I don't) unticking it may help. If not I'll look into it later when I have time.  :)

Emptying the cache on exit (Tools > Preferences > Advanced > History) will force pages to be reloaded when you restart.
