I've always used Norton because.. Well, because I just always have.  But am getting peeved at paying ??? for consumer level protection each year.  A lot of people are suggesting NOD32 to me, so if it's free - I'll give it a try next time I reformat a spare PC.

nod32 is not free but it's cheaper than norton. if you must go free, i suggest avast. either way, you'll be happy when you leave norton behi;) ;)

@MyServerGuy, when i get the chance, i'll trial f-prot as i haven't tried it yet.

I use Defender Pro 2005 ( Kaspersky 5.0.121 Personal is the antivirus) as my AV. I don't use free AVs because they don't usually have as many features ( in my experience) as paid versions. Kaspersky rocks! :)

Switched from Norton about 2 years to NOD32 and havent looked back.

Yeah I switched from McAfee to NOD32, haven't had any problems since. McAfee couldn't get rid of 90% of the viruses it found. NOD32>all atm. :yes:
