If you want the ergonomic winamp skin so bad, open the blue one and change the colours in photoshop it would take like 2 minutes to do....

Hiya,

First off, Great theme Binary it's the only theme I've ever stuck with for longer then 35minutes.

But I have a qualm with v4 as opposed to v3.1, It's nothing big but it kind of annoys me. See Screenshot below:

v4.gif - Version 4

in 3.1 I had all of the info in my systray(Date, Time, Day)

and now in 4 I cannot find what setting or whatever it is to change it.

Could someome please direct me as to where I can fix this?

Thanks in advanced

Still love this theme tho, Good work once again Binary

[edit] I forgot to add that I overwrote my Watercolor3.1 so I couldn't take a SS of that tray, sorry. If ya need one then reply and I will reinstall Watercolor3.1[/edit]

hmmmm thats odd because I didnt change those values at all ... What colours does this happen in? And are you running SP 1 or anything that might change the way a theme acts? And are you sure you didnt have it at 3 bar heights? as opposed to 2? wierd cause I dont remember changing any of the taskbar values.

Chris

ahh your right, I remember now I changed the sizing margins because of the bug where the icons would overlap the systray frame, sorry but thats the way it goes now :) I'd rather not have icons overlap, I'll play with the margins and tell you how to change them if I can find a way to fix the bug and add the date too.

Chris

ok here's the fix (if you want date time and day within a 2 bar height taskbar)

find the value TaskbarTray.bmp and set it's content margins to:

8,4,3,5

I may update this in v4 but I'll just up it to themexp without any info, well maybe I'll add it in the comments, but for such a slight change I'm not adding another revision number ;) I'll also try to fix the shellplayer "bug", but no promises :)

well since they change how their skinning engine works with every release, i think it's best to hold off on wa3 skins, but that's just me.

i have a good feeling that since it is in the "rc" stages... it wont be changing anymore. but thats just me. i would really like one tho.

is there a way i can extract the bmp files from a winamp2 skin?

i want to make it winamp3 compatible since noone here seems to make winamp3 skins... :(

You're talking about extracting bmp files from a wmz file?

A wmz file is a zip file renamed. Just change the extension to .zip and open in winzip or whatever. :)

Exactly, I'm no man's slave :p

I just dont see the sense in people complaining about a bug they can fix themselves in a couple seconds, instead of *****ing cause I have a life and dont update the theme quick enough for them ;), noone has done this with V4, but it has happened before, got some nasty emails in the past too, it's like some people think I'm making this theme specifically for them on a paid by the hr basis lol :D

But thanks to all of the people that report bugs, you guys are the ones that made this such a great theme!

Chris

*edit* added "some people" I didnt want to make it sound like I think everyone is like this, that experience was only with 2 or 3 people :)

    • JetBrains launches Rider 2026.2 EAP 5, bringing several AI improvements by David Uzondu JetBrains has released the fifth EAP version of Rider 2026.2, bringing a faster startup flow with the new non-modal startup screen and quality-check hooks for Claude Code and Codex. In the latest EAP release, Rider now has newly bundled "quality-check" hooks that run background tests on code edits before the external agent proceeds. For example, after Claude Code rewrites a class, Rider immediately triggers a PostToolUse hook that analyzes the code for syntax errors and formatting warnings. It then passes those findings back to the model as feedback, allowing the agent to fix its own output before finalizing the task. If Rider detects compilation errors, the IDE prevents the agent from treating the task as complete, while minor formatting warnings simply help guide the model toward better output. The "Explain with AI" feature can now tackle tricky build errors directly from the console, helping .NET developers who frequently wrestle with multi-targeting failures and MSBuild errors. JetBrains introduced Explain with AI back in the 2024.1 release cycle. With this feature, instead of forcing developers to copy long diagnostics into a separate chat window, Rider now lets you trigger these explanations directly from the error source. In similar EAP news, JetBrains recently opened the first EAP for IntelliJ IDEA 2026.2, with features that appeal to both those who are into AI-assisted coding and those who prefer "classic" manual development. For manual developers, the release adds revamped dependency completion for Maven and Gradle build scripts, which pulls data directly from the local cache to suggest relevant versions. It also brings the Spring Debugger update, displaying security indicators next to endpoints to visualize secured routes during runtime. In addition to database migration tools for Flyway and Liquibase, this build introduces a Hibernate debugger that shows the exact SQL or HQL queries that the framework plans to execute, letting developers jump directly to the Java code that triggered them.
    • I have updated my Series 9 Watch so I assume there is either a mistake in what was said, or as suggested - the new AI feature set isn’t supported on anything other than those listed above.
