Viscera, the shutter sound cannot be turned off without any modification.

However, if you look into Davinci Team, you can purchase a credit and with their software remove the shutter sound yourself.

And like Sundayx said, there are some region customizations that don't have it.

Mine does, ugh! I hate it...

I was lucky to get a K700 and S700 that both had no sound in silent mode...but not this time!

There is a workaround though:

Place a phonecall, something automated maybe like your voicemail would be good.

Open the cam, take a pic :) silent.

I just checked and apparently I have the latest firmware.

I have no connection problems with the usb cable, but I can rarely get FMA to work. Not sure if that's the PCs or phone fault though.

to check firmware, from the very main standby screen do:

> * < < * < *

where < and > are left and right, and star of course

newest is r1n035

Yes people are reporting USB connection issues, I havent seen any myself though.

And mine connects fine to FMA.

Make sure you set up the Bluetooth Serial Port to use the correct port number?

Wrong, I have the phone in front of me. Holding # to enable silent mode turns the shutter off for me. R1A044.

      I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.

      CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
