Is there any way I could:

Unpack Full release

Add firefox module

Repack it again as it was

Yes, AutoPatcher is packaged with NSIS - http://nsis.sourceforge.net - so you could use it to repackage APXP.

no the patches will not work.

it doesnt matter what language you can read, its what language version of windows the patches are designed for.

the majority of patches included in an english release will only install on an english copy of windows. for a spanish copy, you need to replace the setup files with ones designed for a spanish copy of windows.

Thanks, will try the translator pack

It'a a good idea. AutoPatcher would delete the older folder before it decompresses itself.

It won't be a Update version. This month only Full and Lite.

So, Do I have to delete the AP folder before installing the June version, or will AP do it on it's own? You said it would delete the older folder before it decompresses, so really I don't have to do anything but run the June installer? Right? I just want to make sure I have it right..

Thanx

It depends on raptor's work... I hope that he adds it...

Yes, they are.

OK, so I just Delete the AUTOPATCHER folder under Program Files and then I'm set to install the June version.. right? Thanx for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Yes, delete the folder C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher and install the June's version (Full or Lite).

Nobody said that AutoPatcher will delete the folder for previous installation. It was an idea given for next releases. Did you read or just scan the posts?

:p :p

Hi. I download the AutoPatcher XP Jun2005 Full and install the patches on default settings in green boxes. Does it check the patches that I already have install and automatic check the boxes in green that I need to install? That is what I did.:D

Is there anything else that I need to download and install?

I did download the AutoPatcher XP June2005 TranslationPack. I didn't install it. I got rid of it and install the AutoPatcher XP Jun2005 Full instead.

I have windows xp pro with sp2. Intel 3.20 Hyper thread (I not using over clocking and hyper thread at the same time. I can't use both. I uses hyper thread right now.) and 1gb memories. Soyo Dragon2 motherboard.

Hi,

Can someone tell me off the bat what services or components AutoPatcher needs in order to install hotfixes? Because I just tried installing the new hotfixes and the progress bar got stuck at about 90%. I ended the 'update' process in task manager, and the new hotfix came up, but it also 'froze up'. Any ideas? AP does not need background intelligent transfer running right? Does it need Windows Managment Instrumentation started, or Windows Installer, or perhaps Application Managment?

Thanks.

Is it possible for you to tell what you saw at the moment that 'froze up'? What was written above the progress bar?

The next thing is that you must have administrator rights, some hotfixes and /or update require this. Besides this you don't need any special things.

The Hotfixes can depent on the availability of an other. So, if you killed one installation of a hotfix and the other will start. Then this one could 'froze up' the installation proces. If you want to kill it, you have to kill AutoPatcher to.

AutoPatcher is going to check if one of the modules is installed. If not, you see the module in the color black. If the module is installed the color would be blue. This is only for the official modules. So, if you see red items then these are not official They're allways red installed or not.

All items ( modules) in AutoPatcher are installed based on the date. That's the order.....

^^ there is a simpler way...

just simply rename autopatchers language files!!

rename the english 1033.lng file to 1043.lng or 2067.lng (depending on whether its Dutch - Netherlands or Dutch - Belgium)

and rename the 1043.lng or 2067.lng file to 1033.lng.

then when you run autopatcher, itll detect you have a dutch copy of windows, and load the dutch file, which now contains the english text.

you can make the screenshots, and switch the files back again

:D

Thanks Blaze. That is a very good idea :p

^ Well, I had only uploaded it to our main download server, which is now having troubles, so I'm not aware of any other mirrors :(

Why dont you split it and send it to rapidshare for downloading it?

I think that it will be about 4-5 files each .rar

Can you?

Thanks again.

Also there are other free servers for this:

    • Sandboxie Plus 1.17.8 / Classic 5.72.8 by Razvan Serea Run programs in a sandbox to prevent malware from making permanent changes to your PC. Sandboxie allows you to run your browser, or any other program, so that all changes that result from the usage are kept in a sandbox environment, which can then be deleted later. Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing. Sandboxie is available in two flavors Plus and Classic. Both have the same core components, this means they have the same level of security and compatibility. What's different is the user interface the Plus build has a modern Qt based UI which supports all new features that have been added since the project went open source. The Classic build has the old no longer developed MFC based UI, hence it lacks support for modern features, these features can however still be used when manually configured in the Sandboxie.ini. Sandboxie Plus 1.17.8 / Classic 5.72.8 release notes: Added added DisableCustomTitleOpt=[process,][y|n] to allow [#] sandboxie title markers on custom-titlebar windows (Delphi VCL, Qt, Electron) that were previously skipped to prevent DWM repaint CPU loops #5387 Changed updated bundled ImDisk driver to 3.0.2 #5419 Fixed fix Suppress logs for expected non-user SIDs #5422 SbieSvc.exe: SBIE2218/2219 error when run program as administrator #5417 fixed explorer.exe crashes in Application Compartment when Huorong Security is installed #5423 Download: Sandboxie Plus (64-bit) | 23.5 MB (Open Source) Download: Sandboxie Classic (64-bit) | 3.0 MB Links: Sandboxie Website | GitHub | ARM64 | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • Hello, Christian Maas' XVI32 is a nice (and very small) hex editor. Speaking of hex editors, many years ago a colleague and I who both worked at Tribal Voice managed to edit a copy of the company's PowWow instant messaging client to make it behave better now that all of its lookup servers and other server-side tech was gone.  The program didn't support NAT (RFC-3022 was introduced in January 2001, the same time Tribal Voice was shuttered), but it still worked okay if you manually set up port-forwarding on your router.  The server at http://powwow.jazy.net/ hosts a copy (usual warnings about downloading and running untrusted code from random internet servers apply). I occasionally use some tools like Funduc Software's Search and Replace and Application Mover when I need to make mass-edits to text-based files or move programs with a hard-coded installation directories, respectively.  When I need to figure out the exact LCD panel inside of a laptop, EnTech Taiwan's Monitor Asset Manager is my go-to tool for that purpose. JD Design's website (now hosted on github.io) has a number of interesting freeware and shareware utilities.  I used to use their TouchPro utility to set the file timestamps on software I was mastering to match its version number (e.g., version 3.00 of a program had all of its files dates set to 3:00AM, and so forth). Karenware has a number of interesting freeware utilities, too. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • I still use HexChat! Not really as ancient as the 1994 AutoCAD above my post, but I have never found anything better to replace it. Yes we still operate an IRC server https://www.neowin.net/irc/ 😛
    • At work we still have a couple of people that use a version of AutoCAD LT purchased in 1994. This predates Windows 95 and works fine on versions of Windows up to XP. Its long since run in an locked down isolated XP VM, accessible via RDP. I did install LibreCAD for them, however they said it was just too different to get to grips with. In all fairness one of them is now 75 and the other is almost 60.
