Now I'm 99% done!!! :D:D:D:D

Only a small bugtest + finereading left.

One annoying bug.. That _ALL_ the modules are unoficial! :(

Is it supposed to say that, or is there a fix?

You'll need to send it to one of the AP teammebers to get them officialised.

So, you fixed your problems with the Framework modules?

Tried to install June '05 AP onto a friends XP pro SP2, and got this error.

Module panic!

Major F***UP!

This release is not suitable for your system.

35602: Key is not unique in collection.

I said she's using a dodgy install but she says no, and says legit, it's a corporate version.

Anyone enlighten me on the 35602 ?

Corteoz, let us know when you're ready!

42n81, first, what language is that Operating System? AutoPatcher should say something like "Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP2 (1032)". Which version of AutoPatcher did you use (Lite, Full, Update)? Have you ever used AP on that system before?

Thanks for your reply.

The OS is in English and AP says "Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP2 (1033)".

I used the Full version (June), and it is a fairly fresh rebuild which has not had AP installed on it previously.

I started AP just now to check the OS version number following your query, and

it gave me this message which I have not previously seen -

35613: Imagelist must be initialised before it can be used

I was running some other programs at the time, (this time), but I just started AP so as to get that number.

Try installing the VB Runtimes

Thanks.

Did you try installing the two files in the \win9xnt folder under AutoPatcher?

586143670[/snapback]

Thank you, I hadn't, but now after having done so, the problem unfortunately remains. I am getting the same error message 35602.

Thanks.

After the installation of the VB Runtimes files located in \win9xnt folder under AutoPatcher. Did you restarted your system before the installation of AutoPatcher?

Yes, I have tried that as well as disabling antivirus etc.

I have installed autopatcher on many systems in the past without problem, but this one has me vexed.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, though.

Can you make a screendump and post it here?

Sure!

I've checked the content of the modules. These are all okay, all the values are set correctly.

I think that you have a corrupted version. Try to download it again, use an other source for downloading. Or tell where you downloaded it. Then I'll download it here and test it. It's up to you ;)

You're most kind.

I downloaded from page 1 of this forum topic.

According to my memory, (at times unreliable), I went for the first option, the Autopatcher torrent tracker.

I don't know whether there is any file verification available for these downloads.

I will download from one of the mirrors and try installing again.

I certainly don't expect you to go to any great efforts on my behalf, but I am very grateful for your offer and for the help and advice you have given me so far.

I'll let you know whether my next attempt has been successful or not.

Thanks, it?s my pleasure when I can support people when the problems or questions.

If you want to use a P2P program that will verify the download, use this program ?Lime Wire?. It works very good, every BIT will be verified after the download, shown in the users interface.

You were right !!

I downloaded a fresh copy from another source and all went smoothly.

I really appreciate your generosity.

We must thank you for using AutoPatcher and post your problem here at the forum instead of deleting AutoPatcher and don't use it anymore!

So, thank you! :D

How can the free AutoPatcher be such a professional piece of software, both in the smoothness and solid reliability of its function, the simplicity, intuitiveness and ease of operation, and the stylishly simple beauty of its visual design, when so much expensive commercial software is halfway to gaudy rubbish?

All those associated with it should feel proud. They are greatly appreciated and admired.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
