'My Ferrari's too slow'

Recommended Posts

He lives in Germany so he can drive as fast as he wants on the autobahn.

It would be like shelling out cash for a 3.8 Ghz proc and only getting 3.6. You would complain.

ANd if anyone deserves a ferrari its me.

I have been paying for Cable internet for the past 4 years.

first it was 1.5MBps, now it's 3MBps.

But my actual speeds were 1.2MBps and 2.8MBps.

should I sue my cable comany for all the missing bandwidth?

No sue the TCP/IP protocol stack for implementing error checking. :D

Top speeds are always exaggerated, much like broadband speeds are always advertised as "upto" whatever speed and McDonald's burgers never look as good as in the advert. The speed probably relied upon a near empty fuel tank, expensive fuel, expensive tyres, expensive oil, a high altitude environment, a really small person driving and perfect weather conditions (no wind, high road temperature, etc) - everyone likes to over egg their product and cars top speeds are no different

You've got to be really anal to complain over something like that.

Low blows on the F1 jokes guys :D

As for the SL55 being the same price as a F360CS, either tell me where I can find that cheap of a F-Car, or that expensive of a Mercedes...

Either way, the Mercedes is limited at 155mph thanks to the German gentlemen's agreement and a second limiter at 186mph.

For the Ferrari breakin (all car's breakin procedure) you must treat it in every way possible. Don't keep the car at one rpm, or one gear or whatever. Trash it, and baby it. Don't just do one or the other.

And for the top speed, there's hundreds of variables that could have limited his topspeed by what.. the 18kmph? His weight, the tires, road surface and much much more. I think it's a stupid lawsuit and this guy isn't a true tifosi. It's people like him that cause true enthusiast manufacturers to waste their time and misdirect resources.

That said, I hate Ferrari's. :p

Needs to be put in geek terms...

You buy an AlienWare computer with a processor speed of 3.0Ghz but it only goes 2.6.  Would you still be ****ed and want your money back? I know I would.

Umm does a CPU have mechanical moving parts, Like a Combustion Engine?

I don't understand why it is not the same. It is advertised at X speed but actually goes X-b speed. It could be made of cheese, if they say it will go that fast then it should or its false advertising. There are faster cars out there they go 380+kmh per hour tried and proven. There are

On February 28th 2005, the Koenigsegg CCR broke the production road fastest car speed record, achieving a new official top speed of 387.87 km/h (242.14 mph) at Italy?s Nardo Prototipo proving ground.

1. Koenigsegg CCR - 388 km/h

2. McLaren F1 - 372 km/h

3. Ferrari Enzo - 355 km/h

4. Porsche Carrera GT - 334 km/h

4. McLaren Mercedes SLR - 334 km/h

5. Lamborghini Murcielago - 330 km/h

First off I would've bought a Porsche and not a Ferrari. But I'm also a Porsche lover, and hate Ferraris with the except of mybe 2 or 3. And 18km/h is quite a bit slower than advertised, and from what I heard he also did track testing with it to prove that it wouldn't go the advertised speed.

I suppose you can see his point. when you buy something that is supposed to be top quality and expensive you expect to get what you pay for. ;)

I'm surprised it hasn't happened before with other cars.
