Opeth are just the stuff. Been into them since Orchid and never looked back. Awesome guys too. Met them in Vancouver. They had to play an all acoustic set because thier drummer was sick and they stayed after the show to apologize to every single person and give them a partial refund and sign autographs. Class act all the way.

And ahahahaaha!!! Annihilator. My buddies old guitar teacher used to be thier guitar player. They are complete tools :p

dunno if this counts as metal or not but just heard new song from arch enemys upcomming cd doomsday machine song nemisis, its pretty cool... pm me for site.

one more here

/me likes dreamtheater, nightwish, cky, pantera and underoath's first cds ( when they were considered hardcore metal )

yes Arch Enemy kick ass. They're my second favourite band. They've been considered Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Death and Thrash and many others. As of hearing Doomsday Machine (promo) I say they're more along the lines of progressive. Prior to that I considered them sem-thrash with harsh vocals.

I came in here for a laugh, but had to post that nobody could take you 'metallers' seriously, since hardly any metal bands are listed here, and you are all too struck on DreamTheatre's latest album? It tries so damn hard to be metal that it is further away from it's goal than ever.

Oh, and the thread starter has 'CKY' in his sig, not a personal attack on you by any means, but CKY are just a Bam-pushing (or pushed by Bam) skater emo band, and are so bad at 'it' that they'd win first place in a pop idol contest. This invalidates the whole thread from post #1

The Big Four, Pantera, Arch Enemy, Black Label Society, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, ACDC, Death, Children of Bodom, Soilwork, Primal Fear, Helloween, Quo Vadis, Kataklysm, Hammerfall, need I go on?

Edit: Yeah, Michael Schenker is awesome. I've only -heard- of the other dude.

This is the ****tiest metal club ever. You guys listen to horrible bands.

In your post you trash the bands we listen to yet you mention none that you listen to yourself. Metal has alot of sub-catagories ie. Death Metal, Thrash Metal and nearly all the bands mentioned in this topic fall into one or another category.

Not to mention your lame attempt at tagging CKY as a skater emo-band, do you even know what emo is? Have you even listened to CKY or heard the lyrics? None of their songs refer to what you would call emo (just assuming on your poor judgement of what Emo is).

I love people like you who trash bands you haven't even listened to just to make yourselves feel big. You once again associate CKY with Bam even though the band has nothing to do with Bam, he just uses a couple of their tracks as fillers for his videos. Bam does not play in the band. The band also has a good idea on what is actually happening to the music industry and their trying to change that.

Deron Miller from CKY is more metal than your poser ass will ever be. His involved in the DEATH tribute project (they suck because you don't know them), got personally asked to open for Metallica and Guns N Roses and is respected by people like Dave Mustaine. You'd understand if you've seen him play live. He can shred like a mother****er.

I doubt you have ever heard of Pestilence or Cynic either. I guess they suck then.

God you elitist tards **** me off.

El Hot Sauasage, go listen to Blink182 and the latest Limp Bizkit CD.

ah so metal isn't as dead as some would like you to believe,

i myself like it all, but faves are

Slayer

Chimaira

Machine Head (old and new not the middle stuff)

Testament (the most overlooked band ever)

Soilwork

Meshuggah (just listen to I)

Metallica (yes even the load albums)

Killswitch Engage

Shadows Fall

System Of A Down

so many more to choose...

But at the moment i have been listening to the new Mars Volta, and it kicks total

ass.

AAAAH HAHAHHAHAHAAH you came in here for a laugh, i got one out of this, jesus christ you are a dumb ****

oh and if this invalidates the thread so much from post one i guess thats why some of the greatest metal bands like cky, such as when James Hetfeild said his favorite band is cky, oh and Bjorn Gelotte from In Flames also said that he thinks cky rock, oh and there was also vocals/guitarist from Children Of Bodom alexi "wildchild" Laiho

oh and could you point out were i called myself a "metaller"

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended. • And he paid Joe Rogan $30M for podcasts. Terrible company.
    • I sure hope the AI does not give out wrong info during education
