Opeth this Wednesday. :punk: And they said they weren't going to reschedule the Phoenix show. I love those guys.

Hope you enjoy that, make sure you have a few lighters to sway in the air when their playing hope leaves and some of their other quiet ones.

I want to see them.

First though it's In Flames for me, in 9 days with s0il and sepultura.

First post in metal forum for me :)

I just came back from In flames / Sepultura show in Stockholm (Arenan)

and Holy hell :)

Sepultura opened open with some very very fast songs that really got the people warm.

Then after they had their time it was time for the best live show ive seen in a long time.

In Flames going strong with songs from Lunar Strain, Clayman, Whoracle, Reroute.. , Soundtrack and Come clarity.

Really got the crowd going ! the massive feeling of a whole crowd jumping at the same time and screaming the lyrics to the classical Bullet ride, or the new Come Clarity or Crawling through Knifes.

ill remember it forever :D

O my  Cannibal Corpse album OWNS!!!

It's alright, but then again I was never that big into CC.

If you want some good new stuff, check out the new Zyklon album, it's pretty good. I liked Aeon and World Ov Worms a lot, so I might be a slight bit biased.

My friend saw CoB the other night and got some stuff signed at an in-store signing a few hours before. I was exhausted from my trip and passed out all day or I would have gone as well.

omfg, is all I can say. I had a ticket with my name on it for Flames' in Gothenburg. Home town and all, with backstage pass and whatnot. And I couldn't f****** go. But at the very least the ###### who got (for free) my ticket was happy. Happy as hell. I wish I could stab myself without being considered emo. ;D

No posts for a while :p I just wanna say that my previous comment about FFAF was sarcastic. Looking back on it, it doesn't look so sarcastic. Anyway, what do you people think about Sikth? I just heard one of the songs off their new album, which is coming out on 6/6/06 (becoming a bit of a clich?), and I think it sounds awesome.

Lamb of God always seem to top themselves over and over, so I am really looking forward to their new album. And I must say that the newest from Mendeed (This War Will Last Forever) is ****ing awesome. Even though this is the first time I had heard of them, I am nonetheless very impressed.

Whilst I hate pigeon-holing, calling Lamb of God nu-metal is about as far from a valid description as you can possibly get.

Sikth are awesome, can't wait to hear the album. I love the last track of their first album, it's like the most screwed up bit of poetry ever. the yeti is waiting!!! neeeeeeargg!!!!

I am *STILL* listening to In Flames - Come Clarity like 5 times a day, I just can't get enough of it. Absolutely amazing album.

Lamb of God is okay if u like Nu-Metal, listen to some Orphaned Land, Thunderstone, Firewind, Mystic Prophecy.. they will give you some hair on your chest!

Maintream metal != nu-metal. Anyways, nu-metal is nearly dead now. Except for a few straggling bands like Korn, the majority of the bands have died. The only two that seem to have prospered are Disturbed and Papa Roach, but that is also due to some change in their sound (despite being at least in part nu-metal).

Lamb of God is clearly mainstream, and is faaaaaar from nu-metal. Other bands that can be clumped with Lamb of God are Chimaira, Strapping Young Lad, and that sort of stuff. Pretty decent quality stuff, just that more people know about it.

Sure, underground metal is cool, especially when it applies the title of elitist to your name, but why be jealous of bands who actually have luck?

Elitism is just another term for saying "I like what everybody hates, and am proud of it."

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
