BSOD when booting

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I have vista beta 1 and xp installed on 2 partions, and when starting up then computer, it shows Windows Boot Manager, allowing me to choose between:

"Microsoft Windows Longhorn"

"Legacy (pre-Longhorn) Microsoft Windows Operating System"

So i choose the top one longhorn and then the screen goes blank for a couple of seconds the shows up a BSOD,

Any ideas how to fix it?

Anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks, Tim

Have a look at boot.ini, it should be:

[boot loader]

timeout=30

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS

[operating systems]

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows Longhorn" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT /USENEWLOADER

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /FASTDETECT /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN
