Presenting the new Neowin Logo

Ugh, the bevel and shadow look like they're done in old EyeCandy version... They look VERY amateurish. Nowhere on any professionally designed web site will you find such gross bevel on any graphics. I don't mean to insult the artist though..

1) Flish isn't getting paid for this.

2) 'Professional looking' is a very vague term. I assure you, not every professional agrees on what looks good. I would almost go so far as to say it would be very unprofessional to call someone's work unprofessional.

I'm sure Flish appreciates input, but some of these posts are getting out of hand. If you don't like it, just say so. No need to resort to attacking the guy's talent.

Speaking as a professional ass hole, i'm calling you out on that one.

Shadowize me, cap'n! :pinch:

(Don't think about it because I think I'm going to make a sig and avatar out of this possibly)

I'd have to say that the mockup Flish may actually have some potential, as we don't know if Neowin 4 would look like any of the old mockups ever mentioned before.

Mmm... not bad, dare I say a little too smooth though? It could still use a LITTLE more color shift in it. That's a bit bland. Too much of a flat style for my liking.

Actually, thinking about it, I think it would be good if n30w1n's logo was used for the final design... it looks very similar to FlishFun's, yet looks much more professional and is certainly more pleasant to look at. Design wise it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate as it is virtually the same in terms of design. Afterall, we should make use of the talent in the community.

Any chance of that happening?
