KingDrew
i hate the new one.., just used bevel effect.. bit boring. sorry. 586365901 I was thinking the same thing. I like the current one better.
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted August 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 12, 2005 I have a question or two about the new design, in the origional thread, the new theme was going to be fully css for layout, no tables, is this still the case. Also, is the site going to be xhtml strict, and if it is, will it be sent as such (application/xhtml+xml) to browsers that supports it (gecko based, opera, webkit based, etc.)? although, if it's one of those things that if you told me, you would have to kill me, i understand. :D
Fred Derf Veteran Posted August 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 12, 2005 Behold the red neoranger! :ninja: 586365976 The red suits are just for the news staff. We have green suits and blue suits on order.

I'll have to throw that question over to Timdorr and Toxikk when they get on. ;) While we're all working together, they know more about what it's all being coded in. @timsweb - I'm actually thinking about that... since the forum themes will have to change to reflect the rest of the site, I am thinking about that. Although I *really* do like the current badges. If there is a change, it might just be minor. Not for sure yet.

There's no real benefit to it anyways, other than saying we look cool...

Rob Veteran Posted August 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 12, 2005 Well I, like many other people here, thought "Urrgh" when I saw it. Personally, i hated it. But then that was looking at it at this huge scale. When resized to the sort of size you're likely to see it at, it actually looks all right. I'm reserving judgement until the final design of course, I just worry because it does seem somewhat backwards in the current trend of design on the web nowadays. That said of course, I have no doubt it's going to look amazing in its new home. Bring on October :D

chavo
It looks wrong, the lighting is messed up and it looks out of focus. I'm not a noob and I'm not trying to be mean, but the older one looks better. Well thank God I use the lite theme, so I won't have to look at it any more.
