Foodie Monster Posted August 26, 2005 Share Posted August 26, 2005 Is it even possible to change the display name?Right now my full name is there, but I want my short nickname. 586432114[/snapback] Yes, actually, you can change it, only that it's not THAT straight forward: 1)Click the Settings button on your Google Talk client, and then click on the "Account Settings" Button on the General Tab. 2) In the Menu, under "Personal Info", click "Name and More". 3) Change the Name/Last Name fields to whatever you want, and that's what your Google Talk name will look like. No, the Google Account Name and the Gmail Outgoing Name are different. You can choose different ones for each. One feature I liked is if you don't have a mic at your computer and having a call with GTalk, your friend hears the music you are playing at your computer. :) Im curiuos what else google has in their minds! sundmark[at]gmail.com is my account.
