site slowness?

I've been on neowin.net for the past like...hour or two, and well, it's been quite unstable. Sometimes it's very fast and up and running at full speed, sometimes I just keep getting "the document contains no data." errors in firefox, and when i try IE, it just doesn't load, without any errors, and the connecting bar just keeps going forever slowly.

Is this a problem or is it just me?

Yeah it happens once in awhile. Its annoying but I guess it can't be helped without generous donations of course.

I wouldn't say a week, today is the only major problem I've had in a while now. It's just been sluggish all day.

EDIT: Seems to be speeding up as I type.

I can Recall Today And yesterday. Yesterday I was on t3 at a sheraton :D) But I also recall Thursday. There may have been more, lets assume no.

I'm having access issues as well, but the problems I'm having all come from using Firefox, it seems. In Fx, I get a blank page (sometimes w/out a time out message), whereas in IE6, no issues. Just now, I tried again using Fx, & the main forum page finally rendered, but not well, as the attached thumbnail shows:

There not going to upgrade to 2.1 until its released. Silly for neowin such a large size to do it during beta stages.

Having the same issues with Safari here, sometimes the requests just time out (spotted this in the Activity popup). I just have to keep hitting refresh til I get a connection.

Something seems funky with the whole site.

I was having major issues yesterday with the site timing out all day, today I'm getting blank screens as several others have mentioned, along with several database error messages and the first server busy messages I have seen in a few months. :blink:

Been slow for me in the past week, been getting timeouts and sometimes pages take ages to load. Neowin is not as fast for me as it used to be :(
