And they finally they don't delay their release dates...

Downloading now.

And what's the purpose of starting the 1.6a1 trunk so fast? I mean, the next version (2.0) is coming out in like March or something

they want to compete with IE7 Final, Firefox 2.0 vs IE7 Final

for now, Firefox 1.5 vs IE7 Beta2

if any of your extensions or themes not working with this beta try out this extension

http://users.blueprintit.co.uk/~dave/web/f...id/nightly.html

when u got it installed, right click on ur extension or theme and click make compatabile (spelling?) Ive done it to Tabbrowsing Preferences and AquaFox theme!

Thanks, that is most helpful. If I unistall it after enabling the extensions will it stop them working again?

Trunk isn't started, it's always there. Branch is the one that 'starts'.

AdBlock doesn't work correctly!

later edit: I found a fixed version of AdBlock for Firefox 1.5 Beta1 :)

here is the link http://aasted.org/adblock/viewtopic.php?t=2264

Oh!! thanx for the link, work fine with FF 1.5b1

Has anyone taken the acid test? If so, is it possible to post a screenshot? I am at work and can't exactly install this beta

one of the features of this beat is improved support for standards: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/re...s/1.5beta1.html

No, thats what I did, I installed that extension. Then installed my other ones that didn't work and got rid of the developers tools one.

Hmm... does anyone know if there's a .zip version that can just be extracted and run in a folder?  I don't really want to have to "install" it just yet...

You'll have to use a nightly build that's equivlant to the 1.4 release; they're not making zips for releases anymore.

2005090807 should be cloce to the 1.4 release.
