Using Unison now, how do you open or import a NZB? I see File > Export Files As NZB (greyed out)

NZBs should be associated already. Just double click them.

Or drag them to the Unison icon down in the Dock, that should work if double clicking won't.

Since version 1.5:

* Simply drag or double click an .nzb file and Unison will start downloading

Perian is awesome

Huy: reinstalled and now nzb files are associated, thanks for the tip

With windows, I used to use QuickPar for verifying sfv or par files. Is there a similiar program with Mac? Hope its free, most of the software isn't

my personal favs, if you dont mind, are pretty much the same everyone has... but yet i found it useful to see that many folks were using one and the same app to make sure its good, otherwise they would use another one.

so here we go...

adium - perfect for my needs, with A/V soon.

transmission - its free but you should donate some, its worth it.

quicksilver - still a great app although i hardly use it anymore with an application-stack in my dock... couldnt live without it though.

unison - just a very, very nice app.

pixelmator - i used to use photoshop but since i moved and lost the fkng dvd and then installed leopard without backing photoshop up... i was forced to try out pixlmator... and its great. =)

candybar 3 - the best for leopard. easy to use, good looking...

=)

just my 2 cents.

MacPar deLuxe will handle your PAR and PAR2 needs.

http://www.xs4all.nl/~gp/MacPAR_deLuxe/

checkSum+ will handle your SFV needs.

http://homepage.mac.com/julifos/soft/checksum/index.html

Both are Universal (PowerPC and Intel) apps.

Both are free, as far as I know (I know checkSum+ is free, but MacPar is donation-ware? Well I've used it without donating so it's basically free to use. You might get nagged about PayPal donations every now and again but it's not a big deal! Either donate if you feel like it, or hit the "I'll donate later" button)

Enjoy :)

That would be Onyx - but it is not fully compatible with Leopard yet - http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs2/english/onyx_leopard.html

Or Cocktail (which you have to pay for) - http://www.maintain.se/cocktail/index.php

Radish?

Theres a little handy program that sits in your menubar that offers a wide variety of system tools from repairing permissions to showing hidden icons, ect.

MainMenu - http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17111/mainmenu

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
    • Hello, The Media Creation Tool is still at v10.0.26100.7019 from October 2025. Just looks like the backend has been updated. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
