vetteman82
i have two video files. they are encoded in xvid and i would rather put them on one dvd rather than make 2 cd's. in the past i have used some programs that would combine avi files and i tried them on divx and xvid (which are an avi) and it wouldn't work...so does anyone have any clever ideas for programs or can i re-encode the files then combine them then code them to dvd? thanks
stereopixels
Could you not just combine them using an xvid codec and Windows Movie Maker? I thought it was able to handle both xvid and divx (with those codecs installed of course).

boynamedfoo
Use VirtualDub mate. Load the first AVI file; select Direct Stream Copy for both the video and audio streams. Next, click on File -> Append AVI Segment... -> browse to the second AVI file and click open. Then Save AVI as normal. Voila.
