The Diamond Ring Hotel - Abu Dhabi

if the ferris wheel rooms are the hotel rooms, whats the point in the rest of the building? and if they are, they'd have to rotate at the slowest speed so that people could comfortably get on and off..

in other words, that ferris wheel just seems.. pointless.

it looks so awesome, like a Final Fantasy scenery image.

UAE, Qatar and Bahrain will be the heart of Tourism.

I can't wait til Disney Land ME is built in Qatar.

pfft....yeah I bet..just coz a country has a landmark building doesn't mean its going to be the "heart of tourism", not to mention that's only a 3d model. It takes MUCH more than that....Plus, Qatar and Bahrain have very liitle tourism.

I think you havent seen everything that they are doing in Dubai, UAE. The Palm, Dubai Waterfront, The World, etc. A lot of people will want to visit those place when they are finished.

Just take a look at these links

http://www.dubaiwaterfront.ae/

http://www.theworld.ae/

http://www.thepalm.ae/

http://www.jumeirahislands.ae/

More projects here

They may very well buil it, even if it's just a concept at the moment. Remember the Burj al Arab, anyone?

The rooms may be on the ferris wheel, the rest of the building will probably house the lobby, restaurants, dining halls, recereation areas, conference rooms, and any other service such a hotel would offer.

And maybe there are more hotel rooms inside the building. So visitor have the option between a moving room.. and a regular room with a nice view over the gulf!

Ok what the hell is wrong with you???

Im miles and miles from Dubai. Like VidER said Im from Puerto Rico. If you dont know where it is go to a map and look for the Caribbean Sea in the Americas. There you'll find my island.

To the guy from Egypt - If people want to come to Egypt and see pyramids, they can. And if people wan top go stay in this new hotel, big deal. What's your problem?

Dubai, and now Abu Dhabi, can pull in more tourists than the rest of Gulf countries, coming from someone who's lived in both of these cities.

KoL is right, Dubai has come a long, long way in the last 2 decades, more so in the last 10 years.

    • No. The file manager is a lost cause. After all, its dev receives all the undeserved praise he could evre wish from Neowin, without having actually earned it. This has never lead to improvements.

    • I know I won't ever be using it to make my game. I'd rather pay humans.
    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
