What alloys?

Wow that engine just looks tiny. :)

Good choice on the alloys/rims. With a motor that small, the only way you're really going to get it to do anything is to either:

1. Turbo/Supercharge it

2. Swap it

3. Bore it out, port and polish the head, oversized valves, etc.

None of those choices are really economical in anyway. Otherwise, you can do the typical intake/exhaust mods and expect no more than 8-10bhp. Just keep in mind that it's great for gas/petrol mileage, not so much for performance. And who knows, maybe you'll come into some moolah and be able to upgrade vehicles sooner than you think.

(Side note: Now I understand why none of the Euro marques try to sell small displacement motors in the states. If I said I had a 1.2L motor that only made 60bhp over here, I'd get laughed out of town. Even my 2.2L Turbo that makes approx 210bhp is underpowered...)

LoL Yah, the Alternator is nearly as big as the engine. Top end Punto is 1.8 HGT Producing 130 BHP 0-62 in around 8-9 secs.

Think im just gunna get Induction Kit and leave it at that to be honest.

Could lower it, but its about ?100 for springs.. and then the cost to fit them ??

Yet a 4.6 litre Mustang from about six years ago made a 'stunning' 215bhp and weighed about twice what a European car with the same output weighs...

It's not about how much power a car has, it's about many other factors.

A car like the Lotus Elise with a measly 130bhp will get down a twisty road a lot quicker than a lot of cars with three times as much power.

I lowered my Zetec-S Fuzzy in about 2 hours... it's really not that hard, you shouldn't need spring clamps with 35mm drop springs, plus it will handle soooo much better, trust me.:

I reckon a garage would do it for about 2 hours labour, some of the small garages around my way only want ?30 an hour.

Im sending it back as soon as I get it and ordering the BMC CDA Induction kit, About ?80 more.

why? neither of them will give u any noticble increase in power so why spend another 80quid? its completly pointless!

you be much better off getting it lowered! will give u better handling which u will notice

Because when I get a new exhaust system ill need more air flow into the engine :p as it will be getting shut of the gasses quicker.
