If someone knows how to do it please PM me or post it here. @ jojoey: The "Rusty Gadget MOD Pack" link on your website does'nt work + It's not a mod pack: it's a Rusty Clock Gadget + an Internet Search Gadget mod + the latest version from the Run Gadget mod (removed the Settings command + unused lines & png's). :) Edited October 14, 2005 by Herby

Mateus
So the sidebar is a container for Gadgets (possibly to be triggered with a shortcut key stroke in Vista)? But, to save resources, you could just use free gadets/widgets (eg Rainmeter, Rainlendar or Konfabulator) and edit you're wallpaper with a black bar! - sounds kind of crap, but it works.... pepo
Smart I guess. But if you're like me and change your wall frequently, it'll suck having to edit each one. Plus I'll be too lazy to do it in the 1st place.

Or you could just make a bar in Photoshop... It's a bit stupid cos it's like drawing a line on you desk to keep things tidy  Edited October 15, 2005 by Mateus

porky
I think this sidebar has the potential to be better than the original, all Microsoft needs to do is add more function to it. Resizing, and auto-hiding are the only thing it lacks in my opinion; all the other functions a user would need can be implemented with widgets or parts. Quarzimodo
Microsoft should pay more attention to their sidebar they have in MSN Premium. That is how the sidebar in Windows Vista should be.
fragmore
The simplest way to get Sidebar, is to go to microsoft's site and search. They have a direct link to download the one that works perfectly with XP-SP2.

sn00pie
You ppl should learn to read threads like this fomm the beginning. When you get sidebar.exe you will install it to C:/Programs/Windows Sidebar. Then you need to get he patch that was released and extract the patch.exe and emu.dll to Windows Sidebar. Then you'll be asked to get the xmlrw.dll which you'll search you hard driver for and put in the same directory. And b4 you ask why don't the parts show up it's because you need to put them in C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/Parts. 586680234 Calm down, I got it working. ;)

K.  Hey guys, when I try running the Sidebar.exe it says "This application has failed to start because emu.dll was not found". Any help?Edit: What a crap thing, now it's asking for another .dll! 586680196 You ppl should learn to read threads like this fomm the beginning. TriMax84
Similarly to this sidebar deal...............I don't suppose there is an elusive link floating around for the Solitaire.exe (or just the entire Windows Games folder) that would be compatible with Rafael Rivera's patch to use Vista's solitaire on XP? :) Despite looking all over, I can't find one. Hypothetically, if one was to help me out here, Megaupload might be a good place to start. (And a PM might be a good place to end) ;)
