Games with good graphics that sucked

Recommended Posts

I loved the game though.

Beautifull music, atmosphere and nice graphics. Story was so so but it didn't suck. I've played it through like 5-6times. And I rarely do that with games.

WHAT!?! The game is one of the best I've played ever.

I just couldnt get into it. The dark worlds were very boring to me and I shut it off after about 25%. Of course I had just finished Resident Evil 4, Halo 2, and MGS 3 recently, so it wasn't surprising it didnt live up to expectations.

I will say I absolutely loved the first Metroid Prime. I think the cliche' levels, while cliche, were much more enjoyable than the wasteland that is Echoes.

James Bond 007: Night Fire

Stupid, boring, and way too many cut-scenes.

Half-Life: Blue Shift

I loved HL and OpFor, but BL was too easy, too predictable, too short, and the maps seemed to point u exactly where u needed to go(never got lost or cunfused once).

NFS: Hot Pursuit 2

Cool looking cars, every race felt the same, no innovation.

we could also say most of the Xbox games, its a more capable system than the others, therefore should look better, but still pumps out crapper games.

you sir just love to hate. do they pay you for it?

this thread is rather pointless; everyone likes different things. someone that says game a rules and game b sucks maybe be different than what another person says.

Dammit, if I hear another person diss serious sam, im gonna hang you by your ballsacks.  Anyone who says the game sucked, SERIOUSLY (no pun intended) missed the point of the game.

The point of the game is that there's no point. Mindless shooting.. end of story. :D

Deus Ex: Invisible War

I loved the original, this was such a let down

Final Fantasy X-2

I first turned on this game, saw the intro... Heh, words fail me... This did not feel like a FF game at all to me... Though I thought the battle system was fairly cool!

hmm. just as i thought. everyone is electing FPSers. The reason is obvious though. They are selling the GRAPHICS. Gameplay is a secondary issue to FPS developers. In fact they can't really develop the game play anyway, can they? They all have the same game play. But ya Doom3 was too predictable... Walk into room, enemy appears in room, turn around to kill enemy that appeared behind you without you noticing, kill that ******, turnaround and kill the enemy that's there. Go to next room. Rinse and repeat.

Half Life 2

Fear

Age Of Empires 3

Halo 2

Okagmi

Ok now that i got that out of my system, I cant think of many due to if they suck I tend to erase the unpleasurable experience from my mind and all knowledge of the game is lost.

umm wow!

you must not like any games. Those were the best of the best and i dont know see how cant like them unless you suck at them and need cheats to pass each levels.

F.E.A.R The best game. physics , effects are ****ing Awesome!

AOE 3 The best RTS game PERIOD.

HL2 very nice looking game but i hate the engine itself.

Painkiller and Fable.

Fable!? I loved that game. I've never been much of a fan of RPGs in general but I got hooked to that game! So much fun.

Back on topic, I would say Doom 3 was pretty bad. I got that part with the large bull thing and just got bored of it. Repetitive, cheap spooks all around, not my thing. The graphics were pretty good, except for the head geometries.

XIII... Okay, the cell-shading was stylish yet not exactly what I'd call great graphics, but I'll still count it.

Doom 3... didn't suck, but it was a bit of a dissapointment.

Wow, I didn't realize how hard it could be to think of these... And there seem to be a lot on people's lists that I think were some of the best games of all time pretty much, like Far Cry and Half-Life 2 to be specific, and FEAR from what I've played of it at least.

after the first go through of doom3, it got boring.

gbuash, wtf are you smoking. Half Life 2, Fear, Age Of Empires 3, and Halo 2 are awsome games and that is a fact. although i never got into the whole halo scene, they are both awsome games.

Fable didn't suck, it was just short. Really really really really short.

I don't get it though, it seems as though some people are asserting that gameplay and graphics are mutually exclusive, as if you can either do one or the other. I say developers should look to improve them both. Gameplay and Graphics are both important parts of the package that make a great game.

Most legendary games have had legendary gameplay and legendary or at least great graphics/presentation.

...FarCry...

586689991[/snapback]

FAR CRY! my god how bad it was.

...

you ppl got to be kidding me. i had SO MUCH FUN with far cry.

doom 3 pales in comparison. and i have spent more quality time playing far cry then half life 2 too. in fact all the other games i played i did not enjoy as much / spent more time on, as far cry and hl2. but especially far cry.

so i really fail to see how you consider Far Cry bad. did you even get anywhere in the game.

man i wish they make a sequel or expansion for pc.

...

i know. wtf! games like half life 2 and far cry should not even be here, just because someone did not find them interesting. overwhelming majority would thing they were kiss ass on both graphics and gameplay.

    • Google Finance is now out of beta with improved portfolio tracking and a new Android app by Karthik Mudaliar Google is taking its redesigned Google Finance experience out of beta and adding several new features, including portfolio tracking, scheduled market briefings, and a dedicated Android app. The company says the updates are beginning to roll out globally this week, while an iOS app is planned for later in 2026. The most notable addition is the new portfolio feature. Instead of entering every investment manually, users can upload a screenshot, CSV file, or PDF containing their holdings. They can also tell Google Finance what they own using natural language, such as the number of shares held in a particular company or fund. Google Finance will then place those investments into a dashboard showing performance, asset allocation, concentration risk, and the holdings responsible for the biggest gains or losses. Existing portfolios created with the older version of Google Finance should appear automatically. The built-in AI research panel can use the portfolio as context when answering questions. For example, users can ask which sectors are underrepresented or how their fixed-income allocation could affect long-term growth. Google says portfolio data will remain private and that uploaded files and images will not be retained. Users will also be able to edit or delete their portfolio information after it has been imported. Google Finance is also getting scheduled tasks. These let users request recurring reports such as a daily summary of overnight cryptocurrency movements or a weekly update about newly announced initial public offerings. There is also a new Google Finance app for Android. It includes watchlists, interactive charts, real-time market data, a live news feed, and the same AI research panel available on the web. Google has been gradually expanding the AI-powered Finance redesign since it first entered testing. In April, the experience was expanded to more than 100 countries, bringing its research tools, advanced charts, and market news to a much larger audience. That was followed by a wider European rollout in May, which added features including live earnings calls, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries. The ability to import an entire portfolio from a screenshot or document should make Google Finance considerably easier to set up. However, Android users will have to wait for feature parity with the web version, and Google has yet to say exactly when the iOS app will arrive.
