Warn = 100%?

Ive had my main account suspended due to a personal quarrel with a mod,and a harmless post addressed to some mods at neowin...it all started with a warning regarding a torrent to a game which I actually owned...yeah.  Kinda pathetic, since no swear words were even used or anything.  Two week timeout was given!?  I used a bugmenot account to login...didnt do anything bad at all (made a 1000$ post thing..which was infact real) and was banned along with my main account, shortly.

It really sucks to lose an account with a ton of posts, decent too, I may add.  I just want to be left alone now.  If this revelation gets me banned...then I really dont know what to say.  Im being honest here, so hopefully not.

If a mod wants to pm me or anything, we can talk about it lol..instead of a ban.

Seriously. You're telling the moderators to PM you if they have anything regarding this issue but you don't do it yourself. No, instead you make it a public post so the whole damn world would read it and know what awful action the moderators took. Grow up. The moderators here don't warn you because they feel like it, they warn you when they have a reason. Attacking other members is not allowed here at Neowin. So when you attack, or say that a mod doesn't do his job well, you are disrespecting the rules and therefore it's the moderator's, who is in fact also a member, right to give you a warning. If you have any questions regarding your ban you may PM a supervisor or supermoderator and they will send you a copy of your warning log.

The other account you made is also against the rules. Only one account for every member is allowed.

:blink: cmon.. u can't post anything if you are banned, right?

so it makes sense to re-register IMO.

      Nothing is stopping you from continuing with your testing cadence. If updates are released every 2 weeks instead of 4, and you test once every 4 weeks, the exact same amount of patches will still be available for you in those 4 weeks. For example: Before 4th week - patch 1, 2, 3, 4 After 2nd week - patch 1 and 2 4th week - patch 3 and 4 Still the same amount after 4.

      Everyone else has said it. I'm gonna say it - you don't know what you're talking about. I do. I have two laptops. One work, one personal. I have access to two more laptops - both personal. At home I manually update my personal laptop when I see on Neowin that there is an update - I carry on and only apply the updates when I am ready. My work one only updates when my workplace decides to send it - I carry on and only apply the updates (when they actually arrive, which is usually days after the release) when I switch off the laptop at the end of the day as usual. The two other personal laptops only get updated when I get to it which is rarely - the people who own them carry on using them until I get to it and update them. All of the browsers on all laptops are configured to restore the tabs when launched. Google and Microsoft have changed from 6 weeks to 4, and it looks like it's going to move to 2. None of these changes affect how any of these browsers on the laptops are used. Not one jot. My advice to you is stop panicking whenever you see an update. Just carry on with what you're doing. This even benefits you in a way - from your comment you sound like you don't like the changes or the frivolous new features - great - then carry on as before!
