Do they select everybody involved with MSN Connect? Or just certain people? Because I got accepted to WLM last Monday(Still waiting for Microsoft to change my hotmail layout) and OneCare.

Because they didn't know or didn't have the resources to build an antispyware product. They purchased GIANT, used their engine - redid the front end - whalla - Windows Defender.
