Official Windows Live Messenger Invitations Thread

sum1 sent me this....rather than an invite :s

In response to your request on the Neowin forum asking for an invitation to

the Windows Live Messenger beta, I offer these words: Read the message next

time.

The thread you left your request in was created for those WITH invites,

willing to give the invites to others. Here is the very first post. Please

read it:

Please Read These Guidelines BEFORE PM'ing a Member For An Invitation

The invite system for WLM has started and those in the beta have been given

2 invites to start with. Some Neowin members are generous enough to share

invites with other people from the board

Please DO NOT Post Here Unless You Are Offering Invites

1. PM the person(s) offering the invites with your name, user name at

Neowin, and you country

2. Please wait for a return PM with the link for the invite

People requesting an invitation must be a registered Neowin member with some

history here. (Time since registration, number of posts etc.)

Understand that the invites are not available for every country yet.

To those offering the invites, please try to edit your post to reflect how

many invitations you are still willing to give out.

Quick someone give him a invite he might have actually got the rules right for this thread!

LMAO this is exactly like the 360 launch...........most people want 1 and there is nowhere near enough stock to supply to the demand!

lol... with the cool difference that invitations are free

Please please, send me an invitation!

WHAT THE ****??!!

Who was the stupid [email protected] (yes, please spam him!) that sent me that mail with the rules in this thread? Are you out of your mind?

Before sending an email calling me STUPID READ MY POST! I WAS OFFERING AN INVITE.

Try reading the posts more calmly before sending email calling people stupid. Oh, and here goes a tip for you:

Next time, think before acting. It will prevent further stupidity on your part.

It ****es me off these noobs that go trying to save the world :argh:

I Waited all morning man, but i think i deserve it more than some of these ppl posting here...

shhh, dont bring xbox360 into this, we will get attacked by fan boys

but the difference is that they could give out millions of invites to people, they just choose not to

I've asked for an invite yesterday in the other topic in the first 10 people, and am watching this topic today. I've birthday, I've got my present from Google (GMail mobile), from my GSM provider (Opera Mini) and waiting for presents from Yahoo (Mail2 invite), Microsoft (Live Mail, Messenger) and hope that I will get them

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
