Question...

From what I've read, I understand that the phrase "under God" was added in 1954 to The Pledge in order to differentiate the USA from the "Godless" Communists. So wouldn't it be logical to take references of God out of The Pledge and off our money, since we are at war with religious fanatics?

Your thoughts please.

Hehe, I like the way you think. A logical yet humorous perspective is always a good thing.

We've discussed this into the ground already on this board but for some reason I couldnt find it in search. For the record though - I am wholeheartedly behind the 9th circuit court's original decision on this one.

I personally would like for the phrase to stay, but there should be a vote among the American people in order to decide if the phrase should be removed or not.

I disagree - there definately should NOT be a vote. The reason I say this is because its a constitutional matter and one of the primary purposes of the consititution is to protect the minority from the majority. JMHO
