Wow and no mention of extensions, the single sole reason why 90% of people choose firefox over anything else... Also the fact that even with the bugs of IE millions of people still used it regardless, a single page showing FF myths will not change users from using FF now. Although it is a interesting read it's nothing that hasn't been known for a while. It's nothing major too if the avergae user has common sense.

wow good read, cant wait for the FF followers to come here and complain

although that site looks like an opera add

I agree on the Opera add part.. kind of what I felt.. Being a Firefox users I can agree with the facts but it won't make me change. I just like Firefox as an over all browser and unless it starts sucking viruses and spyware onto my system I am not going to change..

Myth - "Firefox is a Solution to Spyware"

Who thinks that? It isn't trying to compete against AdAware or Spybot!

Myth - "Firefox is the Fastest Web Browser"

Read his source!

Firefox is not faster than Internet Explorer, except for scripting, but for standards support, security and features, it is a better choice

The article also says IE is twice as slow when rendering scripts.

Seems like an article to sell Opera.

Most of the points are pretty moot IMO.

I honestly don't care if firefox loads pages 1.30298341872304 ms slower than opera; the interface is like 10x friendlier (I mean, have you ever tried configuring the browsing buttons/tabs/address bar in opera? ..in firefox you can just drag and drop them and have them perfectly arranged in a matter of seconds, while I just could not figure out how to get the address bar above the tabs and whatnot).

I must say that whoever created this has to be an Opera fanboy.

Everyone 'nerd' should know that there is no perfect software and anyone who thinks that Firefox is bug free is just stupid, sorry, but it is the truth.

As technology and code evolve, things such as popups will happen, but that's why Mozilla updates Firefox every-so-often.

Who said Firefox used tabs first? I don't remember ever hearing or seeing this  I've always known that Netscape, a Gecko-based browser, used tabs first. Wait you're telling me that Opera developed tabbed browsing in '95 and forgot to put them in until 2000-- sounds fishy to me.

I've never heard anyone say that Firefox was completely standard compliant, and that it worked with every website/page out there. It isn't only up to the browser developer, but also up to the site developer to make sure that the site/page works with every browser.

Firefox is secure. My company switched a few months ago from IE to FF and we haven't had a single case of 'spyware' or 'adware' due to ActiveX Controllers. Now don't get me wrong, people have still gone and downloaded 'crap,' but it hasn't been because the browser was stupid (IE), but more because the user didn't really know what s/he was downloading. Firefox has cut down though on the amount of spyware/adware cases we've seen though.

This might have been more believeable if Opera wasn't mentioned so much. The article should've been written so that Firefox was blasted and at the very end you give an alternative, such as Opera... but since it is obvious that an Opera fanboy wrote it, I conclude that most of this is just plain BS (N)

Most of that seems like crap.

In a recent study by a UK based web testing firm SciVisum, 1 in 10 UK web sites failed to work properly with Firefox. - Source

Notes - Opera has the same problems as Firefox in regard to web page compatibility.

This because web designers have to spend their time making sure that it works with IE because IE doesn't work to standards. You have to use hacks to get stuff to work in IE that works in every other browser.

Wow what total BS.

No one has ever claimed half of those things for Firefox. Especially the parts about being most secure or whatever. Firefox is more secure the IE, but that has never meant it was 100% secure.

Funny article. I developed an Xhtml web page and for kicks had it side by side with one from w3schools. IE and Firefox both rendered them correctly. Opera didn't even know what do do with them. It was that test right there that prompted me to switch from Opera to Firefox. Links to IE have been completly removed and opera doesn't even exist on my computer now.
