Here's a wallpaper that I've found today on deviantART. I've been using it since and I think it looks very nice with LE Black. And I wanted to share it with you guys :)

Here's a shot of it in action:

Nice find. Looks good except when looking at the bottom where it looks really fake. :p

Stylebuilder stil "breaks" it yeah. It removes the compact startpanel files.

@Smeltn: That goes nice with LE Black. I was about to use the same before I saw the wallpaper I'm using now :p

@acies: That goes nice as well :)

I don't know why a lot of people are complaining that not having a shellstyle in a theme is the end of the world. I'm a Multimedia developer and whatever I do I must follow the client's wishes as it is their product, but in this case I'm paid to do it. Since Capric0rn is doing it for the sole being that he enjoys it should be enough. It is his work and he is entitled to do whatever he feels is best for him and his theme, and you have no authority over him for it. Be grateful that at least we're getting a theme that not only looks good, but functions really well. If you are really that desperate in getting a shellstyle, the best way is to create your own shellstyle, or better yet, create your own theme if you feel you wish to criticise other people's hard work. It is one thing to give a suggestion but it is another to order a change just for the sole being that it does not suit you.

Scirwode

Dude, you have it all wrong... AFAIK the old LE's were made FOR others to use, em3 accepted ideas and criticisms. Every idea or criticism I've seen here has been replied with an 'i cba doing it, make one yourself' attitude. If someone suggests something and you don't like the idea then say so, but don't jump down peoples throats and tell them they are ungrateful for suggesting something that may improve the VS.

About the shellstyle, if you don't want to make one, don't. I'm sure people that can be arsed will make their own, and those who can't will simply use another VS...

I think the color of the old shellstyle should be changed just a bit to match the new shade of black and then be included in the theme, a completely new shellstyle is not needed. If the Black colors in the old one were changed just a bit it would go perfectly.

@Phixion: em3 made the old LE's for himself as well and he just shared it with the public. He accepted advice and critisism. I do that as well. I already changed the things that people said where wrong and I thought that needed to be change. But telling me I SHOULD add a shellstyle etc is not advice or critisism, that's just telling me what I should do with my VS. And I think I know best what needs to be done with the skin. Sure I take advice etc but I'm still the once that decides what I should do with it. And Scirwode didn't have it all wrong. I really did make this skin cause I like to do stuff like that. I took over em3 his project cause he asked me and the demand for it was high. And I would have been stupid to say "no" to him.

I already made a shellstyle as you can see a few pages back but I wont include it. Since I already said that and I know, I said I would ignore things about it. It's the same as ViperAFK said. The old shellstyle with some color changes. I dont remember people whining to em3 about him not including a shellstyle in LE v5.1 Blue. But that's because the old shellstyle had the exact same colors as the new VS. Since the Black style is totally new the old shellstyle doesnt fit anymore and need to be changed.

What Dock skin is that? Also could I get a link to the wall?

Dock skin is one I am making just for this theme because I couldn't find one I like. My first time making a dock skin so let me finish touching it up and I will release. Should be later today.

Wallpaper is one I found somewhere. I do not have a link, when I get home from work I will upload it and share the link.

What icon package are you using?

Pip'

Using the Super Tango pack found on these forums. Updated, using the Tangerine set.

The Super Turbo Tango Patcher (Of Doooom) isn't an IconPackager set but a shell patcher. It replaces the system files containing certain images with the appropriate Tango! Icon equivalent. For more info visit the link below and you can ask any other questions there.

    • Visual Studio finally gets long-awaited feature that developers will love by Usama Jawad Visual Studio Code is Microsoft's popular, lightweight, open-source code editor, it is actually Visual Studio that is the company's flagship integrated development environment (IDE). Although the IDE already offers a boatload of useful features for developers, Microsoft has finally introduced a long-requested capability that will be loved by many. While developers have already been able to create Git pull requests (PRs) directly within Visual Studio for the past couple of years, it had not been possible to review a PR without switching to the browser, until now. Microsoft revealed in December 2025 that it is working on UX that enables developers to do just that, and fast-forward to June 2026, and Visual Studio finally has native capabilities to open and inspect a PR, discuss feedback, and wrap up the review, all without switching to the browser. This integration works for both GitHub and Azure DevOps (including on-prem). Developers have access to multiple surfaces to open a PR, including Git Repository, Git Changes, and the Git menu in Visual Studio. Once you open a PR, all the important details will be immediately visible to you, from where you can navigate to various levels of granularity and branch states, depending on the reviews that you are engaged in. As you would expect, you also get a diff view that enables you to see code changes inline or side-by-side in a separate panel. You can also review commit-by-commit. Additionally, this UX fosters collaboration as you can leave comments, reply to threads, and resolve conversations easily. Naturally, you can also leverage Copilot to apply a code suggestion to fix a potential issue. When you are done, you have the ability to approve, complete, and merge the PR. This is a pretty major feature as it has been requested heavily for the past few years. You can try it out in Visual Studio 2026 version 18.7, made available here recently. Microsoft plans to enhance this experience further in future releases with comment filtering, a timeline of PR activity, and more.

    • Around 68% of developers are now using AI to generate code during development, and some experts are saying that a single developer using AI tools can now do the work of an entire team of 4 to 5 engineers.  According to Figma's State of the Designer 2026 report, 72% of designers now use generative AI in their workflows and 91% say it improves the quality of their work, not just their speed.  But does this mean web developers and designers are becoming less relevant, or are they simply evolving into a different kind of role? Would love to hear from developers and designers here has AI made your job easier, or do you feel threatened by how fast these tools are improving
