I made this startbutton. :D

I just modded shaywoods startbutton and added the highlight and pressed caption button states from LE4 to it :)

I'm disappointed with this release; V4 is amazing and the compact alt.start version has been my default theme for as long as it's been about, yet this release is full of lots of little annoyances and as a whole just doesn't gel... the start button for the blue theme is just hideous. NEway, I still think you're a great artist and look forward to the next release - I hope it can be as good or better than previous versions.

ok, but i have only changed those buttons in the screenshot, cuase there all i use:

Make a copy of the shell32, use resedit to open the copy, and replace each of the bitmaps 204,205,214,215. then save and use the replacer to swap it with the original... then reboot

some strange thing:

Black Compact + Normal (font) = Normal Start Menu

Black Compact + Alt Selection Color (font) = Compact Start Menu (should be normal i suppose as there is compact start menu option font choice)

(( same for Blue Compact ))

i really like this style!

Anyone know where I can get a version of it that would work for the compact/black substyle of Le5? Or is there a way I can extract it from the LE4 msstyle using ResEdit? I'd like to make a run at using ResEdit to change the start button in LE5...

Those that want the normal startpanel, do you all want it with my own modifications like a different start buttond and no user picture?

Or should I modify the default style?
