Opera just gets better and better with each release! All these features packed into such a small download, and even when installed and with many tabs open it still manages to keep a nice memory footprint.

Great job opera! Everyone should download and at least try it, it really does include all the great Necessities needed for a great browsing experience. :)

can i upgrade easily when the final is out ? or will it make a mess by making new directory ? im using opera 8.5 now

I would install it to c:\Program Files\Opera9

That way you can keep your old version intact while playing with this version. Don't think it's recomended at all to upgrade over the old one, so you better make a fresh install of version 9.

okay and when the final is out, just install it over c:\Program Files\Opera9 [let it overwrite] ?

Probably yes... But personally I wouldn't take the chance in case something happens. I would back up the old one, possibly just renaming the old opera9 folder and make a fresh install, then move stuff over that i want to keep either by directly copying them or using the export/import features.

double post, it didnt like the quick reply form, pressing "add reply" caused a 20 second delay, i pressed again, nothing then it posted twice. Oh well its early days

Personally i also dont see the point of widgets, in general. It just takes up to much of the screen. I cant get my head around why someone would want a huge digital clock or calculator on their screen?! :s

Using it right now. MY gripe is that i cant have the order of, address bar, links then tabs. I dont like the order its in. Apart from that, so far so good! :D

Yes you can.... Right click choose customize... Enable "Main bar", remove all buttons from it (right click, remove), then move all the buttons, including the address bar, google bar, by dragging it to the empty "Main bar", after you're done you can disable the address bar... Viola, you have the tab bar in the bottom :)

EDIT: Found video explaining it much better -> http://nontroppo.org/-/media/mainbar.htm
