Neowin Fanstasy Baseball 2006 Season

dammit man. i shoulda went with boog's theory last year. let yahoo auto pick your team.

i'm in 3 leagues. i'm almost in last place in the 2 leagues where i picked my own team, and i'm almost in first in the league where i missed the draft :pinch:

What a week I had with BOOG. It was back and forth from one extreme to the other the whole time. Three weeks in a row now I'm facing some of the top guys in the league. I need a break lol. I atcually bought stattracker just so I can keep up with the daily outputs realtime.

i had a huge lead against lethal but this is my second off day this week and only 3 offensive players are actually playing. ughh im being hurt badly by today and monday. Not to mention Colon just went on the DL.

Well Chris, you have been providing me with some pains, I won't lie. Fortunately, four of my five aces will be pitching tonight and my other one tomorrow, so expect the W, K, ERA, and WHIP columns to get better numbers, possibly allowing me to regain some points and possibly win.

I have one suggestion for Virtualmadden and that is to stop adding and dropping players 3-5 times per day. Get a group of guys that are consistent and keep them instead of going after a new pitcher every day just because he struck out 8 batters in his last start.

john is the king of add drops. you shoulda seen us going at it in the nba fantasy league. completely new teams every night :p

man am i getting whooped by brad, but every category is only like a 2-3 point difference.

Haha. Sorry guys, I wasn't there for the draft and I'm still in a add/drop hangover from NBA fantasy games. I'm not a big baseball fan, so I'm learning as the first few weeks pass. I think I've gotten my lineup down, but I'll probably keep a little flexability just for kicks.

I started the season with 4 pitchers and 1 batter on the DL, so cut me a little slack.

I can confirm that Virtualmadden is bowing down to me. :D

You can confirm can you? Sure you'll win this week? Last time I saw I wasn't that far behind 5-6.

That was amazing! I can't believe you beat me by a free throw and a three pointer!

I was almost courtside at the Portland/Phoenix game cursing Webster and Barbosa. What was their 3 point totals, that right 0-8. It was also great watching a 7 foot asian guy who couldn't hold onto the basketball to save his life.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
