Incredible the b0se, well worth the wait. You truly are one of the few themers out there that understands that less can be more and theme's don't have to be intrucive (sp?) to be different.

- The dark parts of the theme are going to take time to get used to but I'm sure I will.

- The over state of scrollbars are orange, just a heads up.

- I was wondering about the tabs, I know they can be a pain in the ass to make, but are you considering making tabs that are more like the rest of the theme, slightly beveled and such.

Now back in december I was making a theme for my phone and before I knew it I ended up with a theme that looked a whole lot like Gui.Air, I think it's a good thing when your designs are influencing people.

Here's what the theme looks like, originally made to look toonish since I like Adult Swim.

toonie6fv.th.jpg

Now don't worry though, I won't be releasing the theme.

binqker: No, I will not be giving permission to anyone (ever) to port my themes to Mac. I will be skinning for that myself soon.

digitaljames: How can he 'steal your thunder'? You made a personal port. Am I missing something? :?)

fudgetunnel: Got anything better to worry about? I would like to get my theme out and tested before releasing. Not to mention the fact it lets people use it before release. With XPMC I made the mistake of releasing each RC separately, and it caused problems. Hence a single closed beta on Neowin then the full final release.

Thanks for the feedback!

nO-One: They are meant to be orange. Default colour is a mix of blue, black and orange. Liek I said before, I find themes that are the same colour boring. Tabs are not skinned yet, I have a nice idea for them though :?)

I don't know how to make my criticism constructive because I know nothing of graphic design. So I'll just state what I like/dislike.

I dislike all the start buttons that followed after the concept skin. IMO the concept start button (the textual one) was best, it was very simplistic and unobtrusive. It meshed well on the taskbar.

I think the orange line on the bottom of the columns. They look out of place. Perhaps they'd look better if the the orange line appeared only when the column was hovered on (like Opus OS).

Finally, the line on the bottom of the taskbar. I think its great, however, maybe a pixel thinner. Some of the full 16x16 icons look almost flush against it.

What I really like:

As always, you make the best minimize, maximize, and exit buttons. The system tray icon is really neat. It suits the theme perfectly. As does the quick launch arrow.

I realise no one is going to like every aspect of a work, but the skin is still great and I appreciate the the skin nonetheless.

The others that share my opinon can only hope for the chance of seeing a simplistic variation of the start menu skin.

Good work b0se.

Ooh...Ross on OSX...excellent. Be prepared for a theming mightmare.;))

The stealing thunder part was a joke since I had already done a lot on the Mac platform.

I shall wait patiently....

As an old reader of the work in progress topic, I follow that.

Please b0se, bring back the good old textual start button :D

;)

Hey, b0se, I have a suggestion could you make the taskband flash colour something brighter? Or something that stands out, the dark blue isn't very easy to notice amist all that blue around. :D

I love it! :woot:

And the current start button doesn't go with the theme very well honestly.

the start button...i don't know. i think it just looks like something you'd see on a scrollbar.

I wish i could screenie right now but I'm lazy...when you group windows (e.g.: many AIM windows) and when you put your cursor above it, the "selection" looks very awk...the whole selection "block" becomes bigger than the taskbar...

i'll screenie later if need be. using other theme for now only because i'm picky, but i'll be verrry glad when this gets out of beta :) good job

I really liked the grey start button from modified orange screenshot personally. Matched with the grey of the clock tray area I thought it fit pretty well. Not a huge fan of this current start button but love the rest. Part I realllllly like is the curved backgrounds on the start/programs text as well as when you have control panel set to expand as a menu, those little touches are great.

    • The most consequential argument in technology right now is not about which model is smartest or which chip is fastest. It is about whether the entire enterprise is a generational revolution or the largest financial bubble ever inflated — and the unsettling answer, increasingly, is that it may be both at once.,,,, https://www.techtimes.com/articles/318138/20260610/ai-revolution-ai-bubble-trillion-dollar-question-splitting-wall-street-silicon-valley.htm This is a very good read.  I agree with the answer to the question.

LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API. • Stopped using Windows as my main workflow. Migrated completed to Linux. Been happier than a clam without a single issue nor windows annoyance. Leaving Windows has shown me the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather I went through the tunnel and I'm already at the light.
    • AirPods Pro 3 are now available for only $179 by Taras Buria Apple's third-gen AirPods Pro 3 introduced a few important upgrades over the previous generation while retaining the old $249 price. Still, that is quite a lot of money for a pair of earbuds, but the good news is that right now, you can save quite a lot of money on them, thanks to a new all-time low price. AirPods Pro 3 retain their classic look and form factor, with changes focused on the inside. These earbuds now come with five sets of foam-silicone tips, which sit much more securely in your ear, making the earbuds a perfect choice for physical activities and workouts. Additionally, new tips provide better passive noise cancellation. Speaking of noise cancellation, ANC is now much better at blocking outside noise, with Apple claiming the AirPods Pro mute up to two times more sound than the AirPods Pro 2. The AirPods Pro 3 also have heart rate sensors for activity tracking during workouts. They also support Live Translation and Hearing Aid mode. As for battery life, you get up to 8 hours on a single charge, with the case adding 20 more. The case supports wireless (Qi or Apple Watch charger) and wired charging over USB Type-C (cable not included). • Everything I have read is that the BBC is still Pro Doctor Who but wants a solid plan before they let anyone else try to do it. Which is fair.
