Spiderman 3 - New black suit!

Recommended Posts

I think they mean you can see a small picture of Venom's face in the eye of the costume.

Should be interesting to see how they bring Venom in to the movie. As I understand it, the comics had a long storyline to introduce the character. Oh and thought I read somewhere that the main character on the 70s show was going to play venom. Seems like he'd make a better Carnage.

THANK YOU!! I guess people need to go read their spidey comics again .... follow the plot a little bit here :/

It's cool indeed...

BUT if it's a new suit for Spiderman I will not like it cuz it will broke the "Original" concept even if the costume is cooler in black...

Spiderman as always have red/blue suit, and they MUST to keep it as it is right now...

It looks like the right side of Venoms face with the big white eye prominent.

Also on the main site it says something about a Storm and then there is the stormy picture. Wonder if the Storm is significant to the plot or foreshadowing something?

Ok, since it seems not many people are up on their Spiderman trivia;

Spiderman/Peter Parker gets his suit messed up. I won't go into how, since that would be really long, but he finds a replacement suit that looks just like his, only black. The suit augments his exisiting super powers. What he does not know is that the suit is actually a living, alien sybiotic entity looking to merge with a host. He discovers this, wounds it, and gets rid of it. The injured symbiote goes looking for a new host, and finds Eddie Brock.

That picture is NOT Venom, it is Spiderman wearing the suit/entity that will join with Brock to CREATE VENOM, if in fact that is the logical route they are taking. If not, they are retarded and I hope the movie bombs.

Best informative post so far, thank you very much!

yes.. true.. but he gets tht symboint suite on an alien planet...

and tht doesnt look like venom in his eyes, more like the goblin and the sad mood of the pic maybe depicting spidey's feelings as he knows who the goblins is (his firend)... :shiftyninja:

heres whats up with the black custome...

"Spider-man had rid himself of the parasitic alien Symbiote that had masqueraded as his black costume by subjecting them to the overwhelming sound of the church's bells. Amid the pealing, ear-splitting cacophony, the Symbiote realized Spider-Man would never act as its host. Perhaps having learned a measure of human empathy during its time with Peter Parker, the Symbiote saved Spider-Man from paintful death by dragging him to safety ... insted, the weak and dying creature entered the church proper - where ite ventually encountered teh broken, desparing Eddie, with nothing left to lose, Eddie gave himself over."

so the "symbiote" took over spiderman, thus the black custome, then it let go of spiderman and went over to a character by the name of Eddie, who becomes venom.

Taken from the spider-man page linked above, its a flash site so you have to navigate your way through, its in the villans section under venom.

EDIT: Nevermind someone already posted that answer above, while i was away reading it, :(

Well, when I did a Google search for 'Eddie Brock', I get an image of the mechanic dude from 'Wings' (Thomas Haden Church), so there are already rumors about it. Other sites mention that he's been cast as a role as a villian in Spiderman 3, but not specifically Venom. Church is a great actor, so it should be another awesome villian, whoever he plays. Awhile back I'd heard he would be playing Sandman, but who knows what's changed since then.

*edit*

According to IMDB, he was cast as 'Flint Marko/Sandman' in Spiderman 3, and that is the only villian specifically listed, unless you count Harry Osborne. So maybe Spidey gets the suit in this movie, and that sets up the next movie for Venom? The Venom storyline would take a bit of setting up to do right. As for the symbiote-being-from-another-planet thing...yeah...they'll have to change it somehow. Maybe an escaped genetic experiment or something?

If venom is not in this movie then they are definatly setting it up for the next one...

there have been different versions of that story in both the cartoon and the comics... One of them if i believe correctly is that spiderman is looking for materials to re-create his messed up custome and find a black ball of yarn, which wraps around his body as he picks it up.

They could go with that story and not have to explain where the ball came from in the first place.

i agree with that. leaving aliens out would be beneficial i think. the x-men left out the aliens and was allowed to just deal with the action and politics making it something... uncanny yet believable :alien:

    • Xbox Insiders get Xbox 360 achievements and Gamertag character upgrades by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft is continuing its fast-paced update schedule for Xbox Insiders. Today, the company announced a new slate of features it is rolling out to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring, which includes an expansion to the gamertag system, Xbox 360 achievements, and more. The unique Gamertag that Xbox users can choose for their profile is getting more characters. Instead of the 12-character limit, Insiders will now be able to get a Gamertag that's 15 characters long. The 12-character limit will still apply to Gamertags that are not unique or contain any non-Latin characters. Meanwhile, Microsoft is adding Xbox 360 game support to its Game Hubs. Selecting an installed Xbox 360 game on a modern Xbox console will now show achievement progress, captures, and other information. Achievement pop-ups are back for these classics too, which should be good news for achievement hunters. The next change is for Xbox players who can't wait to jump into their games when an update is required. "If a game requires an update and is available to stream through your Game Pass membership, you can start playing immediately with cloud gaming while the update downloads in the background," explains Microsoft. The final change of this Insider update is once again to the game cards. Insiders will find that all games, both released and upcoming, will now have a simple button to add to their profile's wishlist, making the process much easier from a single place. This Xbox update is rolling out today to Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring. As usual, Microsoft aims to bring it to more Insiders over time before they reach all Xbox owners. Head here to find out how to join the Xbox Insider Program to get a chance to test these features and upcoming ones on both consoles and PC.
