It's the highest in a long time, but it has sold more. At launch it sold over 40,000 and it did sell around 12,000 and 8,000 the weeks after until eventually dropping to the 1,000-2,000 mark.

Given that the PS3 launch allocation was just 80,000 units, there's a good chance the DS Lite will outsell the PS3 this week... which is pretty strange.

i don't see what's so great about blue dragon. it's like they stole dragon ball z characters and turned it into a rpg. all the trailers and gameplay seem so boring so far.

It didn't really need to be done, since there's a good reason why so few PS3's were sold (i.e. they sold out). What I'm more interested in is the fact that the 360's sold pretty decent (compared to the 1000/week average [except last week's 6k]) despite PS3 being launched.
