Once again Apple set out to crush their 3rd-party support. There have been iPod docks/speakers for years made by various other companies, and all for much less than $349.

If Apple wanted to go after the audiophile crowd, they should have improved the quality coming out of the iPod itself instead of releasing a $350 speaker with a dock on top.

Especially since there is such a wide variety of 3rd party manufacturers that market products very similar to this, for much less. Once again, Apple eats their own.

Hi-Fi looks ok. Not so much for the living room, more for a bedroom/ dorm. I am very disappointed in the mac mini. Seems the price is going up on this one. What happened to the sub 500$ mini. Damn I love my orginal mini (499$) but getting around 800$ I would think of getting a laptop instead.

Overall I am not pleased as a shareholder.

I love how the first thing they plaster up and talk about is how much faster the new processors are. Nothing like rubbing peoples face in it, Stevie.

I know they said they'd support PPC machines for years to come, but doesn't do much when they essentially imply that they are slow as crap at every turn.

Does the new mini do the graphics that were missing from the previous model? (Ex. when you add something to the dashboard the ripple effect) Or if that question can't be answered yet is the graphic card at least better?

I pretty much agree, but I bet a bunch of people with too much money will buy the $99 cases for the image. lol.

Yup I agree too, maybe they'll invest the extra income to make the iPod more scratch resilient. :rolleyes:
