SolidSapphire
I will post my desktop soon but i want to say that i did like the Post Your Workstation thread the way it was before. having people post there Workstation every month is just going to have people posting the same thing every month for some or most members. sin-ergy
I agree it was better when it was just one thread and not a monthly one. yeah, we've had discussions about this before. The mods aren't listening...or they just don't care. Monthly workstation threads are USELESS. People will only repost their workstations from before. Who honestly here changes their workstation once a month?
nomis_nehc
it doesn't matter really i think. if people want to post their old pic, let them.
Narlzac85
I like the monthly thread. It gives people a reason to change things around and I can count on something interesting at the beginning of each month. When people post the exact some photo though, its really annoying. However, the old thread was too big and half of the links were dead.

dL
That was then... (May 2005) ... and this is now (March 2006) Everything that I need to be upgraded (externally) is complete. The only thing left is a sound card (X-Fi), then my upgrade is finally complete. But then, by then, I would want a dual core with dx10 gfx so the vicious circle continues... Externally, these parts (LCD, speakers, keyboard, mouse) will remain as it is unless there is a huge promotion in the near future. New hardware added since Oct, 2005: Logitech Z-2300. They pwn! Enjoy! dL Edited March 2, 2006 by dL

Fit4130Rider
Well, I didn't buy it, it was the swell gift of my brother in law who works at a school and they've got a huge surplus of them. And thankfully he hasn't asked for it back. But I'm guessing it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of ~1200 dollars.
jagwire
Here we go :). My desktop / new ikea jerker (well, last month, but still new.) http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/8318/pi...09custom9rm.jpg http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/6576/pi...10custom2um.jpg http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/621/pic00411custom8yu.jpg http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/6364/pi...12custom9kd.jpg Right of desk: http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/8555/pi...14custom4tg.jpg Left of desk: http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/7617/pi...16custom3dc.jpg Gadget table: http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/1738/pi...15custom6zf.jpg Mm, I love Lanny Barby, hot French Canadian pornstar :). I have some other awesome posters on the other side of my bedroom, but if I post them, I'll get a real ban (last time I showed them on IRC, I recieved a 10 day ban, hence 60% warning.) If anyone wants, I can list what the junk is, but I'm lazy at the moment. I am looking for some new books for a noob. The for dummies books seemed to prove more a less useless for me. Therefore, I'm looking for a beginners java book, a good internet security book for beginners, hopefully leading myself to gray or white hat hacking (not illegal hacking guys, you can look up the definitions), and I'm also looking for a book that goes into advanced details bout kernels, and more a less LINUX and UNIX, you can see my books in these shots. jagwire
i see your watching south park - the winning edge jagwire. thats a brill episode imo. That's definitley a favourite of mine, (season 9 episode 5), and out of all of season 9, it is most certainly my favourite as well (some of the other season 9 eps were pretty messed though.) This episode definitley is brillant, and it shows the truth among the American sport baseball :). Boring as hell, I was at one real baseball game several years back, and I couldn't tell when they were playing because every second something stopped them, or something like that, not like I exactly understood it back then. I'm going to go re-watch seasons 1-5, and pick some other favourites of mine :). Edited March 2, 2006 by jagwire

jagwire
I just don't understand why you posted 4 of the same pictures jagwire. Generally, on forums, the more I post of my room, the better criticism I get (sp?) For example, you might had noticed 4 bottles of febreeze and one can of febreeze being stared at by some compressed gas duster. I thought somebody would say something. Not exactly the same, I wasn't sure which picture was the nicest, so I posted them all, plus, I like people nagging me about little things I'd never notice. Invalid buffalo, these bose triports suck (they were a gift.) What sennheisers are those, they look nice, and what type of pricetag are on them? I've been considering a new set of headphones, and some shure e3 or 2's for earphones, I lost my white ex-71's a while back and my dad broke my black ex-71's, and I'm sick of sony products, so I want a new pair of earbuds too. I like to buy my audio junk at FS or Bestbuy with some slight pricematching, always good incase you want to return. Oh, and trash can, lots of guys seem to have something like this one in black, I guess Ikea is just great! :). I've got some of these bin things to put junk in from Ikea I haven't opened yet. Your iPod looks black, is it a 60 gige vid ipod as well like mine? :p Mm, g5's a smooth mouse, but I need a new mousepad like yours. Those ratpadz sure do wear out quickly. invalidbuffalo
What sennheisers are those, they look nice, and what type of pricetag are on them? Those are the HD-580's and they cost about $150 USD. IMO they are the best-sounding headphones in that price range. My only complaint with them is that the cord is 3m long and if you're not carful with it, bad things can happen. I also own the HD-280's, which I also like because they're closed so they block out sound very well and the cord is curled eliminating the cord problems of the 580's.Oh, and trash can, lots of guys seem to have something like this one in black, I guess Ikea is just great! Actually I got mine at OfficeMax :p But I did buy a black leather poang chair and the footrest from Ikea and I love it!.Your iPod looks black, is it a 60 gige vid ipod as well like mine? It's a black 30GB. I didnt really need anything bigger than 30.Mm, g5's a smooth mouse, but I need a new mousepad like yours. Those ratpadz sure do wear out quickly.I'm using an X-Trac Ripper XL. Its not pro material i am told but im not a hardcore gamer... Works fine for me.

MMaster23
I haven't changed mine ... check out Feb 06 for mine. Looks like Logitech has got it going on with the Z2300 and Z5500. Me myself ... i'm guilty as well ... have an 2300 and thinking of taking an Z5500 for my bedroom MCE. That would rock. But my advise would be to hold off such stuff untill after the CeBIT 06.... going for free for work.... can't wait! :D
