Vista Icons Pack v2.0 Ultimate - System Patch

Kudesnick/Stassen, those are a few new icons I can think of - Photo Gallery's been updated, Ultimate Extras now has an icon, and the snipping tool (just added in this build) has its own icon. Additionally, the networking icon and sound icon continue to be rebuffed with each release, see the current ones in the shot.

Also, where did you see the blue "stack" icons used? Like, which build? I'm fine with your preference, but just wondering...

And to the guy saying Virtual Folders are dead, try to read up and listen. They're now entitled "Search folders"; aren't gone, and are perfectly as functional as ever. MS just doesn't play them up as much.

[Edit -- whoops, Neowin's forums didn't quite take my images for upload :s]

Icon for snipping tool was added in prev build (also in my VIPv2 for Developers). Did you ever extract icons? Can you, please, extract all new icons for me?

This one will actually REPLACE your system files with alternate versions

Does it still only replace my files or patch it (like Bricopack) ... ?

Outstanding patch mate!! One question, when some icons have been updated via windows update, do I run the repair installation or start icon patching choice?

Better to run repaire installation

I just downloaded it, & installed. I got a few questions regarding these.

1) While installing, Windows said that some files are removed & i need to enter my XP SP2 CD, why is this so? what files does this remove, will this pose some problem

2) After installing, rebooting & recreating the shell icons, i find two folder in the c:\windows folder by the name system_backup (backedup system files) & icons_tmp, to save HD space i backuped up these folders to other place, & deleted the original, so in case i m making any changes or repairing it, I will simply copy them back & do so, will this work, or m i doing something wrong

3) If it has already made backup of system files, then what are all those *.backup files in my windows & system32 folder? can i backup & then delete these

Windows file protection will detect the files being altered during the process and prompt you in insert the XP CD so it can restore the original. Simply click cancel or no (whatever it is) and select to keep the changed files.
